Unique Purple Strain - Help Identify this!!

So I planted some mystery seeds on the 30th of January this year and one of them sprouted a very beautiful purple plant. We didn't really treat her special from the beginning, i mean nothing outside from what all the others got. which is plenty of TLC.

None the less, here is a poor picture, but it's the first that we've got.



We left her outside and let her flower once she was too big to move back in and out to remain in vegetative state. She grew purple. Her stems, the underside of the leaves, and now that she is in flower, it is even more evident how much purple she has within her genes.






Good thing i took some clones early in veg so that i can have some fun crossing her around!!



Can anybody help identify anything about this strain? She's very early in flower and her clones have just entered veg.

the purpling may have just been due to cold weather as you said it was grown in january.....although it could be the genetics. very beautful plant tho, good job!

It looks great, did you clone in that glass. If so, how long did they take to root.

Beautiful lookin plant, I read about coloring a while back in CC. There are so many variables that can cause weird colors, temps, ph levels, light.. and its all dependent on a particular strains genetics.. Im sure youre gonna have alot fun playin around with those clones. Gotta love the contrast between purple and green, looks amazing.

The purple color is from genetics as she was grown indoors for the first 2 months before she stayed out at night. Even her clones growing indoor under MH have purple stems and leaf undersides!! In soil she took about 2 weeks to have a full set of roots in the bottom of the cup. In rapid rooters it took a bit longer. My clones typicall sit in the champagne flute for 2 or 3 days while I spray them and they take up rooting solution. For the fogponic system this works perfectly!! I built the fogponic cloner about 2 weeks ago and once I have clones to take of her I should be able to root her within a week. The first set of clones entered veg about week ago so it'll be a month before I can clone her again, but in that month I'll be able to harvest her.

Looks like Grandaddy Purple to me. Not 100% sure however.

well good news and bad news...i got clones but some coward decided to jump the fence and steal her away before she was finished...oh well, gonna have to wait a few more months to figure this out now!

Purple leaves and stems are controlled partly by genetics and partly by environment. Cold weather will induce purpling in a breed that is genetically predisposed to purple. Its sounds like your case might be more genetic since you said the purple was apparent very early. Ive grown a few strains that look very similar to your plant. Several times ive grown plants from seed that turned so purple the finished buds almost looked black. Both times I had this "hyper" purple the seeds came from Gypsy Nirvana - the strains were K2 and Hindu Kush. Unfortunately the final product wasnt that great.... but it looked really cool.

if that vid is from your pad, I think you are going to have problems once those thing flower. Id invest in some landmines, or dig a pit below your fence and fill it with poisoned stakes. plant looks cool though.

lol dig a 3 foot deep 2 feet ditch along the fence then re fence that hole with 7 foot fenciing that way he jumps in he aint getting back out

I know of 32 'purple' strains and there are bound to be more. Accurately identifying the plant will be virtually impossible.

I wrote a book called "To trap a thief" and would be happy to share some ideas.

First of all as you can tell thief’s worry not about video photo evidence. Most of the time, they cover up however, taking a great video does allot of great things!!!
One, it will probably be the last time that person will be back if he knows anything about it. But not his buddies that he told for the next week. (It’s a big story for him too and they will be back in the dark). I would suggest making a thief net. What it is is a net that you create out of fishing line in order to trip up an individual. Make a scrog screen type mesh out of heavy fishing line maybe 6" x 6" holes. Attach treble hooks (three prong fishing hook) at about ever 6 or so inches or where they connect at each grid point. Dig a few foot size holes that are a bit deep. Deep enough to lose your shoes in. At the bottom of the hole, place a #5 leg hold trap. (You can pick em up at hunting/trapping stores or online for trapping game) Sink the chain with a good anchor. This is to stumble and trap shoes. The next step is lightly covering the hole with sticks/grass what ever to make it look normal. (I would make several, paying attention to where entry points are.) After your holes are set, its time to lay down your hooks and mesh over the top of the area where the holes are/ (Make the mesh large enough to cover a large area undetected) Cover your mesh well if you can, don’t want them seeing it or the game is over. Now you’re set.
Odds are good, that the person knows you. If not, they have been watching your place obviously and may see you set the trap. I would also do it in the dark at an odd hour.

They jump in, loose a shoe, cant help but trip up in a grid of loose fishing line full of sharp rusty hooks (btw don’t attach it to anything) and might make it out before you hear about it but its not likely. Regardless, the video will be worth it! LOL

I would also (granted you have a card) send the photo to a news crew. Don’t tell them where it is, or who you are but explain that you’re a medi and there is no legal protection for you... (Makes you look good, not just a guy asking for it)
