So after reviewing my plants that had been under the t5 for 18 hours, right before the timer kicked in for flowering period of 12/12, I noted tha the big fan leaves on the upper most levels were showing signs of heat stress. Also the light is causing a faster drying of the soil meaning I have to water daily now and I have to water 15 ounces per plant till I see run off.

Here is my concerns and qquestions
is this new found heat going to wither my plants and other than installing an ac unit or exhaust fan any simple steps I can take to help the Babies deal with their new environment here are a few pics lemmi know how theuh look

What is the temp in your room? Also, what kind of soil/ fertilizer are you using? looks like over fertilization type of twisting and mutation. I actually think the light should be way closer, you can even see it in the picture. I know people who use t5s and they put them a couple inches away from the tops. Unless the actual temps in your room are high, it's ok to put t5s right up on your plants.

When I opened the grow room up after the 18 hours I was slammed with heat, the room is incredibly air tight being as my contracting experience I made it with my best ability. My mini temp gage told me it was 90 degrees after just put it in the room for 5 minutes. The lights are higher thnanan a few inches because I'm in flowering mode and leaving room for growth. Doubt it's over nutes because I'm using mirical grow soil and mirical grow nutes, haven't used anything else yet. The top leaves are dryier than normal that's what is causing the curling its a stativa not indica. No signs or lock out or over feeding and this only happened when I changed lights, the lights they were under didn't have the same heat output as t5. My outside temps are rudely around 70-86 degrees so grow room is wormer as it holds the heat

You are going to need to find a way to get that hot air out and get that light closer. Can you give us a description of the room they are in. Dimensions would help. How many fans do you have in the room? Any windows where they are at? It may be time for you to look into that carbon filter inline fan setup. Your plants will be fine but you should correct this as soon as possible.

I have a tek two T5 4-5 inches above week old sprouts. Whats your ph? Maybe using so much MG so early in their life is poisoning them.

I have a windo I can remove to lwet heat out and I'm growing Ina space that's 4x6x8 lights are 7 inches above plants to help with heat and I can lower the. Plants another 12-18 inches they are on removable boards to keep them at the height and doubfful on the mg I've always used it

Been using T5' for some time now and never had that problem, they are 4 to 5 inches above plants, sounds more like you room is getting too hot, are you exhausting the room? I try to keep my temps around 75 deg, 90 deg is way too hot.

Thats what I am saying about heat stress, not from the lights being hot but from the room being hot, I have no exhaust fan so the room just collects heat, I haven't the money to invest in a duct or exhaust yet all I can do is remove the window and put in a screen but then outside heat from the day will seep in as we'll, I'm going to try and use the bucket method of placing an open continuer of water in the grow room under the light so it evaporates and causes moisture in the air and possible misting during the dark period so the leaves can absorb the water and be dry before lights kick back on. Hopefully these will be the quick easy solution I'm looking for, have nloot seen plants in almost 24 hours due to work but I'm going to check on them as soon as I can to see if progress has been made

Couldn't you at least get a window fan and have it blow out rather than just an open window? that at least would be better, of course someone could smell it so there's the down side.

carbon filter or ac might be required...
temp needs to stay around 76f.
& never lower than 68f.
and never higher than 85f.
with fans blowing to move air around

Remember:
Cannabis can grow in the BEST of temps and the WORST of temps...
as long as you give it Light/Water/and FOOD they do need to eat like us
they are alive!!!
also a good area to live in you will have lush plants!
