Update on my first grow

I had 2 plants which I started from an unknown IMG_20160730_1953398_rewind.jpg IMG_20160807_1654573_rewind.jpg bag seed. After switching to 12/12 on 7-30 I had to chop down one has it showed me his balls. The other has started to thrive rather nicely. The first pic is the last night before 12/12. The second I took this morning when I got around to checking on her. Starting to show more and more hairs and spread out nicely. I had a failed FIM which I followed up with a successful top. This is my first attempt at a grow that has survived past week 2. I work from home now so it's easy to tend to it constantly. I'm not really hoping for much more than to have something to harvest. I did cut a clone yesterday which I have in a peat pellet. I used Rapid Rooter powder after shaving some of the bark off then trimmed the larger leaves back a bit.

What do you guys think I might be able to get out of this baby?

Looks good!!!

Personally, I like to grow from feminized seeds...eliminates the 'ballz' issue. You have a talent for growing healthy plants...keep it growing!

As for estimating harvest...that is like guessing how tall an infant child is going to be when it grows up. If you keep it healthy and provide it with all it needs...it will produce good budz. The grower and his/her plant have a symbiotic relationship.

Please do not misconstrue this constructive and encouraging response as a negative attack...LOL!!!

LOL!!! Why are you attacking me? JKJK. I would have liked to grow from feminized seeds but being my first REAL attempt to grow I decided to put as little money into is as I possible could. I have ~$40 into at this point. That's including the lights, soil, and ferts. I just have it in a small closest with some shelving that I am able to clamp my lighting to.

I understand asking about yield is basically pointless. It was more of a "hope" that someone had a plant of similar size being and to ball park it, if that makes any sense.

See now you've got a problem...Cannabis is in itself not addicting. However, cultivating it is...and can be quite expensive. You have a talent as I said before. So, you will not be satisfied with the yield from this harvest...although I am sure it will be great. As growerz we are never satisfied...always want that next piece of equipment, better soils and mediums, better nutrients and fertilizers...the list goes on and on. Get ready to spend some $...you don't have to sell your sister or anything...but $300-$500 should do ya nice.

Yea but that $300-$500 is just about a one time thing.. once set up you just have to worry about the little stuff which isn't much.

I wish it was a one time thing lol. What BK said is true. I feel like a kid in a candy store in the hydro shop. I always want more. I am about to start an experiment with three nutrient line's side by side in a test. I just always want to expand the longer I do this. I've been here on RIU for quite some time now and I can still remember the day I bought my first hps. Comparable to the happiness of some of the happiest times in my life. It may sound sad haha bit its the truth. :D

So, my timer faulted out last night and caused the lights to come on for about 45 minutes before I saw it. How much can this screw me over?

If this is the only time it had happened and only 45 minutes it's going to be ok. Just don't let it happen again! She will be fine! :)

Today I changed 2/3 of my lights to 42w 2700k. Still have the clone in a dome, with 2 more seeds germinating. One of which has popped up. Here's a couple IMG_20160809_0842177_rewind.jpg IMG_20160809_0841121_rewind.jpg pics of my lady though.

The stems are actually losing purple as the grow goes on. The yellowing is working up the plant. Since giving veg nutes on her last feed the yellowing has stopped and actually regained a little green.
