You can actually grow fairly huge plants in a 2” netpot; stems should grow thick enough to support a large cola if properly fanned. Btw I did not use square fence posts for my own DIY stink bud system; went with 3” pvc pipe sealed with the purple pvc glue. Square “fence post” rails are a better design than pipes and easier to hold in place but cost was much less for pipes at the time.
If you want to grow monster plants build your system out of a large tote bin with 3-4” netpots; up to you really. Stinkbuds aero-rail system is intended for single cola clones and a fast turnover rate but you can get away with seedlings in rockwool cubes if you set the interval kind of slow at first then increasing as roots develop. If you want a lower plant count for larger size plants build your big ass aero system out of a tote bin or bucket.
