So the Purple kush im growing in DWC got 44" and she's very top heavy. I'm using daisy chained pipe cleaners and string to keep her up. So next grow im using this setup so it's not a PITA to prop up the buds.

I wanted tomato cages but needed to be able to open and slide the lid for adding water and testing pH and ppms. Can't drill holes and stick the legs in cause you can't move the lid enough to do it.

She's leaning in this pic but she's straight up now.

Not gonna lie mate they’re looking impressive, the plants looking lush and healthy too. Here’s an idea though, you’ve probably allready read about control buckets or the central res in a dwc system, why not add one of those? Almost double ur water capacity, you’ll have better control over ur water parameters too.

I too am thinking tomato cages over scrog nets for my next run, after an absolute nightmare of a harvest this time lol.

hope this helps mate
Keep up the good work

EDIT::::
Sorry the idea behind the control bucket suggestion is that you no longer need constant access to your plant bucket, all measurements and adjustments can happen in the control bucket that doesn’t have a plant in

Thanks for that info. I was going to try a RDWC setup but someone else told me stick to DWC since I seem to got it down. That's my first time DWC too. My 2nd ever grow. So I'm happy. I'm just using Maxibloom, Calimagic and Hydroguard.

I'll check into that DWC central res. I think my buddy in Arizona had that setup. He had like 2 5gal buckets stacked and hoses coming out the top going to it.

I like the tomato cages cause I was able to LST the soil grows basically flat level and even and made 2 sq ft canopies from them.

This was one of the girls in week 6. She was very pliable. Gently eased her down and that's it5181128_grow-journal-by-wallywonksilgmpurple-kush.jpg
