Keep going and I wouldn't kill any my smallest has almost caught up to the rest nowHi people. Here's some updated pics. These are the smallest plants I've ever grown in my life lol, I've had ones way bigger in soil/coco before however due to environment/lacking of nutes etc things paused at week 2 until now week 4
Currently 30 days old from being planted in coco.
I have actually started to see sex signs on some of them!
I have no idea what the outcome of these will be but it's too late to give up now may aswell try as can't grow January due to personal things so this my last shot until February! I do hope I get at least 10oz lol I lowered the 2x 600w hps last night and they seem to be ok! I am now at a point of feeding with canna a and b every day or two at most! Temps still can get a little high but I've managed to contain it at 34 for the last couple of days! If I don't get too much yeild I'm not too bothered just wouldn't mind having a good smoke of auto glueberry at xmas etc. How much taller/ bigger do you guys think these could get? Should I chop and kill the smallest one?
Thanks! A bit of positivity. I am truly gutted there not as big as they might have been but when there picking up now I'm defo going to just try and complete it. I won't kill the major runt based on your comment also! 2x of the auto blackberrys have some hairs and 1x northern auto does too, the rest are yet to show but looks like they might soon. These are defo going to be smallest plants I've done but let's just see what happens. The smallest is about 4.5" and tallest going on 9"Keep going and I wouldn't kill any my smallest has almost caught up to the rest now
You should have them under metal halide until you are ready to flower them, hps isn't good for vegging. The plants will get tall and spindly with the hps. If you have a decent ballast all you need to do is swap the bulb. They froze for 2-3 weeks they are growing fast now. They have enough light now also 1200w hps! They small however are now healthy they didn't grow at all for 2-3 weeks about a week or two ago check the thread
Your growth medium looks pretty dense, did you use anything to help aeration?
Not trying to be a jerk but you're wrong. You should have them under metal halide until you are ready to flower them, hps isn't good for vegging. The plants will get tall and spindly with the hps. If you have a decent ballast all you need to do is swap the bulb.
And I could say the same. I have personal experience with both over a lot of years. The red spectrum of hps causes them to stretch more than the more blue spectrum of metal halide...Not trying to be a jerk but you're wrong.
I've personally witnessed or have first hand experience with many types of lighting.
Tall and spindly also known as plants that are stretching for light happens under low intensity.
I bet if the guy started from the beginning with hps he'd be much further along
To the poster, I have made many mistakes over the years growing so it happens man. I'm glad you worked through the setback and are seeing good growth.
I've experienced delays in growth from lack of light intensity while young and starting off in too big of a container. If i start off with a small container and a light soil mix the roots can fill & establish faster and in turn growth will be faster
