Urgent help needed!!!! Spider mites 2 days off flush???????????

Urgent advice needed!!!!!! Spider mites 2days off flush?????

Had spidermites and targetd them using predatory mites, they looked to have cleared up and there was only visible spotting on one plant. having left them for a few days the other plants are now infested and have spotting all over there leaves
what to do??????

ive heard about these smoke bombs and my shop says they are the fastest and most efficient way to kill everything eggs included and they can be used up till 6hours before harvesting?

is this true has anyone else used them so close to harvesting? we are ONLY 2 DAYS off flushing them? is this ok? will it effect taste/texture of the crop using these smokebombs?

any help or advice is would be highly appreciated

thanks and happy smoking

Damn dude. It sounds like you are in a tough spot. I have been told to avoid using pesticides on your plants shortly before harvest(if it kills all mites and eggs that effectively, are your buds really going to be safe for smoking etc.). Did you flush 2 days ago or are you going to flush in 2 days?

Second vote for No Pest Strips. Just shut down all of your ventilation for about 24 hours and throw one or two in there. Stay away from your grow for 24 hours then remove the strips and turn on your ventilation and lights. Let all the fumes expire from your room before gardening. It should kill almost all of your spider mites but it might push back your harvest a few days...at least that's what happened to me

Good luck, fuck those little bastards

Nope, you guys got it wrong.
He said he was a week from harvest. Do nothing. Cut them down and hang them.
The spider mites will leave the plant and collect on the top of the cut stem. If you kill them now they wont be able to and you will have them in the buds. Been there done that.

I think that's all up to you, there's a flushing thread somewhere around RIU that says not to flush... I've flushed the last 10 - 14 days of all of my plants until this next harvest, I probably won't do it until about 5 days before and feeding her up until then

Good luck :leaf:

I guess I misunderstood, I thought he meant he was 10 to 14 days "off" from flushing meaning he was going to start flushing in about 2 weeks...

If he's only a week like you say then I would chop too, I had to do 2 plants a week and 2 plants 3 weeks due to those little bastards

thanks for all the responses

sorry my mistake smoking and typing is never a good idea!!!! were flushing in two weeks for two weeks so were 4weeks off harvest in total. would yous still advise to cut them down or shud i spray/smoke bomb them now and release predators after to clear up the stragglers???

If you are 4 weeks out then yes, a fogger would be your best bet.
In four weeks time spider mites can suck the life out of your trichomes. If you were a week out then I would say the damage would have already been done.

Next Time, spray mist/ foliar feed once every 10 days with liquid seaweed, 2 tbs per gal ratio. This causes the trunk, branches & limbs to become SO healthy, tough & strong, the Mites can't gnaw or stick thier snouts through the bark to get moisture. Without moisture, they die. Get one of the No-Pest Strips and a Joint, seal it up overnight, then smoke the fucker. If you don't end up in the Hospital, at least you will know you just fucked up your grow with that foul shit. Also, Spider Mites attack easy targets,.. meaning that for the most part, your plants was having a health problem. Try to isolate the reasoning for the weaking of the plant(s) so the problem don't arise next time. Most problems is due to chemical posions, like ferts & no-pest strips. I had them my first grow. I freaked, .. done all the wrong things, also. Hope this helped.

SNS 217 works GREAT and kills the eggs too..OMRI certified...you can use it up to day of harvest..it smells clean and fresh, bu is quite expensive ($40 a quart, $100 a gallon)...its only 2% rosemary oil, tho, so you can make it at home if your on a budget...jus buy pure rosemary oil from whole foods ($7)...mix in half of the bottle with clean RO water (quart) and a few drops of $3 organic dish soap (to help to mix the oil and water)...apply with lights off.....then when the lights come on give those liddle muthafuHkers a middle finger..........or two

And what? spray your buds with it and get moldy buds? Or just spray the leaf and leave the bugs on the buds. Na, Fogger get in all the tight spaces and leaves little residue. CO2 works too. Thats what I am doing this year. Gonna gas them.

Hot shot no pest strip will "CURE" your pest problem. doesnt kill spiders and big house fly's but it does kill spider mites, thrips and aphids with in the same day. and then leave them in the room for when the egg's pop. I use no pest strips all the time because the second they stop working... well... the mites and bugs come back, which I think is because of the area i'm located. I fought mites for years with preventitive maint, which sorta worked but really, there was still bugs. Just wanted to state how U wont need anything but this if you choose this method, wont need bombs and all that stuff.

I tried sprays and other things and even sprayed a flowering plant I was going to cull anyways and no luck, my No Pest strips are the only thing that has proven to stop them.

From now on I am going to foliar spray all of my plants during veg with SM-90 before flowering

Dude...your not goin to cause mold with the SNS...its jus rosemary oil and water (basically)....the lights will evaporate any excess moisture the day after you spray....SNS is one of the few things that works....and it works GREAT......bu you can go ahead and fog your room....like i said it will make your plants smell like sulfur, and doesnt even work that great.......do wutever you want.......bu remember i gave you the cure for your problem.....good luck

p.s. CO2 does work too.....raise ppm to 10,000 for 15 minutes......pce

SNS217 kills bugs and eggs.......research it...azamax and azatrol are pains in the arse......constant reapplications are tiresome....spray once to kill bugs....then again after eggs hatch...then again to get rid of surviving stragglers..........arRRGGh 8^{[

SNS217 doesnt kill eggs. It kills spider mites on contact and has to be reapplied every three days for 2 weeks. People tell me Azamax will kill eggs too, but it doesnt. Dont use a No Pest Strip if youre in flower unless you want a carcinogen on your buds.

Will someone please tell the spider mites i had that No Pest Strips are supposed to kill them? Cause it didnt. I had 2 in a 7x9x8 room.

Theres nothing you can really do this close to harvest except a vacuum to suck them up. You should inspect your plants daily to catch the population when its low. I always spray with Neem oil Dyna Gro Pro Tekt, Insecticidal Soap, and Mighty Wash. I mix it up and apply every three days for 2 weeks. I always do this in veg before i flower them. Prevention is key, gotta get them in veg
