Urgent question on indoor plant veg cycle - White Widow

Hey guys, growing white widow, in 6th week of veg... plants are about a foot tall now really nice stem and main cola structure, plants are very healthy. my only concern is that the branches of my plants are not growing out as fast as the main cola. is this normal? It seems that the fan leaves are taking all the light and the branches (which will potentially grow bud on them) are not developing. is this a normal stage in Veg? will the branches start to mature during Flowering?

i really appreciate your answers :smile:

with flouros you need the light hella close to the plant. Sounds like you're stretching. Try LST to even your canopy (bend and tie) or SCREEN it.

No damage to the plant unless you are a brute and bend the shit out of it all at once. Go easy, it'll be fine. It will NOT slow growth and it will increase your total yield as well. Just bend the top cola and tie it down so it is horizontal instead of vertical. The bud sites will then change direction and grow up (at a 45 degree angle from the stalk).

Using flouros, it is real important to try and keep the canopy even to distribute light over all..........

Im having the same problem with 4/5 of mine. The branches are still really small and taking far to long to grow. The branches on the one good one, however, are now just as big as the leaves. I really have no idea why, it cant be light because i change position and rotate daily under a 400 HPS. It's not stretching, not with mine anyway. I just started flowering yesterday and im kinda ignoring the problem or hoping they will get there in the end. Will let ya know what happens over the next few days.

i tied my plants down (main colas are horizontal now) and branches are soaring up towards the light as if they were enlighted by jesus.

im really glad i sorted that out!

let me know how yours are sorted!

NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN 'BOUT. I am under hps and I still have mine sideways under a screen....... nuttin better.:arrow::weed:
