!!URGENT!! Volksgarden Info

All respect to godess for the sick DIY Omegas but again, I challenge anyone but a master to craft one of these. Its so easy for a layman to exclaim "2 grand is a waste of money, you can do it yourself better cheaper" giving no thought to just how @#%@ing hard it is to engineer something like this. The volksgarden seems like an insane deal to me with most vertical grow systems in the 4g+ range.

Again, dont say its not worth the money if your just hating cuz you cant afford it. I wish more people would put up like godess and acually build this shit they talk about.

But omega, Do you use a flood system at the bottom? Iv heard that shit drips everywhere, whats the solution to that?

I JUSt saw something at home depot the other day that would lessen the cost by about $300 if someone wanted to go at it.

48 inch diameter Plastic Outside tables with curved edges, they could replace the $400 sheet of Plastic Plywood I used.... On sale for $40/table

Just a thought...

You may be seeing me do this again... haha

I'll keep you guys updated if I decide to spend more money on a new project....

I know for sure though I dont want to drill like 12,000 holes in the PVC pipes again anytime soon.... maybe....

Pretty sure the "drips everywhere" talk is from people who either have never used one or from someone that ran the watering 24 hours. If you run the watering full time then you have a greater chance of the rockwool cubes dripping. All you really need is to flood the pan once or twice a day and only to a depth of about 1/4 to 1/2 inch depth of the rockwool cube and it will never drip.

People talk shit all the time. Can you see building one of these units and not taking pics of the thing for bragging rights? Everyone is walking round with a cell phone with a camera in it so even if you dont show bud in the pics how would you not have pics.

I will have to assume that your project was a dismal failure considering you have no pictures and that it is no longer in existence.

it is in no way affecting me. the onus is one the one making the claims to provide the proof

Also learn how to use words like onus before you try to throw them out.

Oh and can I see your omega, or do you just come on RIU to post in only threads relating to vertical and rotational growing and be a rude, stuck up individual that offers very little help to the actual community or in your posts?

is it really worth it ...??
