it has nothing to do with the water, I've been using it since day 1, this is over a month into grow, the entire plant lost all its rigidity within an hour

could be because you just flushed her. And if you have a water softener hooked up to your water, it is bad water softener use sodium ions to get rid of calcium so its eventually going to cause salt buildup in your res.

what can I use to rid the water of salt ions? clearex? I managed to recover the plant by changing the res again with just water + micro/bloom, propping up the major branches, and tying the two main stems with thread, but lost a few leaves (curled + crisp)

Distill it.

lol, I dont readily have a way of evaporating and condensing 3.5 gallons of water at a time, but I hear you
I know when I typed it I was like, damn this is gonna come off like a ass but thats really all you can do. or get a Reverse Osmosis filter.

or you can find out the exact make of your water softener and see if it is one of the newer ones I read the technology in those is a little different, so let me know if it is a newer brand.

it's definitely old school, salt barrel, tank, etc, so I guess I'll finish out this grow using RO water from the drug store. seems like my best course of action until I can fund a RO system... will the RO need epsom or calmag using the Lucas formula?
