I am not a better than you vegan. I could care less who eats what truly.

but i hate when people lie to make themselves sound better because they eat "organic " meat.
when they dont.

My post is specifically about people I know personally in real life. I've seen their fridges they dont buy organic grass fed beef. lol
It's pretty easy to tell. Darker red meat, and yellowish fat.

Could just be the type of cow... meh...

Yet that's not what your post states. If you were simply talking about people you knew, it would seem reasonable to expect you to say that, as opposed to "everyone", a word with quite a clear definition, and if you knew this through looking in fridges, then you would have had no need to make your asinine comment about shitty cars. Certainly comes off as an I'm better than you attitude to me. Wherther it was implied or intentional is besides the point, that's how you come across.

my appologies , i meant specifically people i know and how they lie to me and tell me about how they only eat grass fed beef to make themselves better. the entire post was meant in a light hearted joking manner i was sure that beefisquit would understand my intention was not aimed at him but more of a personal story about how i get comments on this quite often.

and the giant walmart sticker on it LOL.
Riiight.

Walmart doesn't sell meat here.

I buy meat packs from a local butcher. It's not certified organic, I could fucking care less about organic. But the cows do walk around in a field all day, eating grass and being lazy.

Grass fed meat is darker, and has yellow fat. I'm not sure what walmart meat looks like.

It sounded like you were attacking me for saying I buy grass fed beef.

i was just saying generally when people tell me that they come up with these big stories about how they buy it when they dont lol
why i came up with a huge line of "happy running around by amish farmers " to point out the ridiculousness of how people to try to sound better

anyyyyyyyyyyways i guess i dont come off over text properly.

If I wanted a steak and I didn't have any, I would absolutely go to the local grocery store and buy one.

I buy from the local butcher because it tastes better, and I get a deal for buying in bulk.

Like I said, I don't buy grass fed for moral reasons.

Where i was a butcher, selling to the likes of Blumenthal, Roux etc, we sold plenty of meat not cetified as organic, but was 100% "organic". The farmers simply refused to pay the exorbitant fees required to be allowed to put the organic soil association labels on their produce. The terms organic often means diddly squat with regard to the actual quality of the produce.

You remind me of that one guy in Plan 9 From Outer Space who tortures this other guy who's a chef. The chef finally caves in once the interrogator says he's going to cook the snails in margarine instead of butter.

Me neither. Had "california kobe" I'm told its the same breed as the japanese.
At work and most other retail grocers I am shocked at what passes for "fresh" beef these days.
Its very easy to spot the cellular deterioration that comes from being previously frozen.

Wagyu cattle is the breed of Kobe beef... they just don't get the royal treatment like kobe beef cattle do.

Real Kobe beef only comes from Kobe, Japan....

I was looking @ some earlier this week, x5 ribeye and x5 striploin for $380... lol

Someday.

I hubby and I ran a wholesale grocery distributorship which was down the street from a slaughter house. Believe me these animals know what is going to happen. It has been a couple of years since we closed up shop and I can still hear them crying and moaning. I eat meat but not much.

There was a cow that the man who operated the piston gun thought he had killed a cow and hit a button and the machine released the cow. It wasn't dead. It charged him and crushed his chest. He was dead before the cow.
