Use window for vent in and out?

Hello everyone.

I have the option of setting up a new grow area in either a walk in closest or a spare bedroom. I have no idea how I would properly circulate air in the closet without cutting a hole in the ceiling. I plan on using the room for now. Sorry no exact dimensions, but a ball park figure would be 10x10 feet.

Now would I able to do something like this? Active (would passive work?) in-take on the lower right hand corner of the window. I'm thinking 6'' ducting and 6'' inline fan to move it where I want it in the room. Then in the upper left hand corner, the same size out take with an inline fan pushing air out. I would of course also duct the air to be sent out. Would I just be creating a loop outside the window? Even so.. would the surrounding air cool it off enough? I have a window AC unit I could use, but would prefer not to. A carbon scrubber will also be used so I anticipate having to throw down at least $400 for 2 inline fans, scrubber, and ducting.

Please help!

was wondering also if the inline would be receiving enough fresh co2. anyway my thoughts were if the incoming air fan were dialed faster than the outgoing air fan that the incoming would be grabbing more air to help saturate the out going fumes (if caught up in the incoming feed at all). only problem i can see is if the one speed greatly overpowers the other, does the slower fan take extra wear (force) and possibly break down sooner? that would suck.

I understand that if I had a cab or tent I could control the flow better, but in an open room there is simply just more air to disperse the heat.

i knw your sposed to put the seeds in a paper towel when starting off but i could only do tht for about a day..(personal reasons) so the seed pretty much swelled up but didnt sprout so i planted it in my cup with good moist soil.and i was wondering if anyone of u experts can tell me what i need to know..

cleareyes, start a new thread next time, but you should be fine, keep the soil moist (but not soaked, they need oxygen in there)

focus, you probably would be ok with passive intake, just make sure your exhaust fan is nice and strong. i moslty say this because i like being sure my room has lower air pressure than the rest of the house/outside, because then any air leaks in walls or door frames would be entering the room, instead of letting that ever-so-deliciously-stinky air exit (security concern).
also, im not sure if this was a mistake with your drawing, but it looked like your exhaust was picking air off the bottom of the room. your fresh air should enter the room from the bottom, and the air should be exhausted from the top. this better gets rid of the rising hot air. otherwise all that heat your hps is making just sits at the top of the room, raising ambient temps.

Yeah I meant for intake to be on bottom and exhaust on top. I think I just might make my own huge tent with 2x2s and panda film. Maybe I'll just use one massive out take so that I can have that negative pressure. I never thought about how it would keep the smell out like that. Thanks for the help!

I would install the window a/c unit and vent out from the far side of the room into the attic and out the eves of your roof (they make eve vents that disperse the air across the eve so the noise is greatly reduced). How much light are you going to be using? For a space that large I would use at least one 1000w hps or separate the room into two spaces with panda film and get a 600 MH for veg and mothers and a 600w hps for flowering. Make sure you have a fan circulating the air in the grow room too. I would rather cut a small hole in the ceiling than be ghetto and have ducting running all over my window for the neighbors to see. Drywall repairs are easy nosey neighbors are not so easy.
