Using a 3-5day dark period to force chlorophyll to breakdown

So I know 24-48hour dark periods have been discussed a lot to trick the plant into maximum resin production .but what about longer than that with the plant still intact until the leaves start to yellow as the chlorophyll breaks down. Surely this could work as a happy medium between a long and short cure? Allowing chlorophyll to break down and turn to sugar but not the leaves to wilt which makes trimming a pain?

What I'm basically trying to achieve here is stinking buds , low level of chlorophyll , easy to trim over a 2week drying period. My problem with the slow cure is time ,mold risk , extended risk of my land lady finding out with tent being up for weeks after their ready and the fact a lot of the terps degrade in the first week after it's chopped . 3day dried dehumidified weed smells fantastic but tastes too minty for my liking. Slow cured and dried buds taste fantastic but look and smell suffers in my opinion.
Thoughts please .

If it were feasible I would imagine you would already know about it. Folks here are pretty hep to everything that works and most stuff that doesn't. If you do this keep us updated.

I let my plants sit in the dark for a week before because I didnt have time to cut them and they were done so no need for the light. There was no differance other than saggy leafs.

Nice job bro. What is your soil mix content if I may ask?
Well it's nothing special , 3 types if shop baught soil mixed together with water retention powder ( this was my outdoor mix) I still feed them with canna neuts every water. I feed until they reject it , never ever had a problem other than them drinking faster than I can water

Seems like the darkness idea is not that effective alone it needs to be a mix of ice water during its last week or 2 but during the night . Lights on still. Going to try a technique where you boil your roots 3days from chop to maje it draw it's feed from its leaf . This is said to create the desired effect I'm looking for
