Using a Rubbernaid

I have read several posts about people using rubber maids for DWC grows. I am addicted to soil. To me it just produces better tasting bud. I am in the process of starting my second grow, going to do scrog this time. I plan on using the 4 best seedlings and planting two each into those large rubbermaid containers. I have heard that roots like to grow shallow and spread out so I thought this time around instead of using buckets or pots I would use two 25 gal rubermaids for my soil grow so they have plenty of room to stretch there hairy white legs. What do you guys think about this? Has anyone else tried this and got good/bad results.

This is about as far from the truth as you can get. Roots HATE and i mean despise shallow growing environments. I did the Rubber maid method, i will never do it again. Plants like deep long growing containers, i swear by this! So does every one i know who grows! Dont do it, you will waste 3 months of your time

I like deeper better than shallow. They should fill a container, then move bigger. Not sure why people start into 4-5 gal pots. I'll check out that scrog.
