Using cfls without a fan

i just put a few flowering plants in a diff space without a fan under a 125w cfl, hoping they will be ok, the cfls dont get too hot, needed the space on 18hrs for more veg plants and my autos, has any1 used a cfl b4 without a light?

I dont use a fan unless it gets too hot. I guess they get a little from the HVAC but not much.
