I'm keeping my sprout out the cold and was wondering if I'm good with 3 100 watt cfls?dont plan on keeping her inside but wanna keep this on as its a seed off a older one plant I have.Just want to know if I should be using more than 3 on a sprout as I can go up to 5 bulbs but didnt want to burn it.any suggestions?

They will be fine, just adjust the height so the heat does not get to them. A few inches away should be fine, but adjust as needed.

Use the back of your hand as a judgment tool for the heat.

what would be a good lighting schedule using these light?I was thinking more than 12 hours on since they not so intense.

um, 12 hours and you'd force it into flowering regardless what the bulb. For vegging you use 18/6 all the way upto 24/0 on/off...

Set your timer to 18/6.
If you don't have a timer, either buy one or just turn the lights off before you sleep.

thanx for the heads up might have thrown them into flowering way to early and yes do have a timer.So,24 on is a option I can go with?or do they need some down time?

Update:

its been bout a month since my last post, this is the best starter I ever had!she is less than month and a half old,and have two more right behind.the oldest one is already over a foot tall but not a sign of buding yet, starting to think it wont start budding. So,can I push it into budding by adding Fox Farm Tiger bloom?I will have pics by wednsday so you all can see where my plants are.and also moved them from inside bout 2 weeks ago after using the cfls.
