using daylight and artificial light

So... basically i was thinking that sunlight is definitely more natural and better than any artificial light. I also know that a lot of people during the veg state will run 24 hour lights. If someone were to run mostly artificial light but for a few hours a day give it full sunlight, like in the middle of the day when the sun is its most intense, would that damage the plant or anything or would it be helpful. Logically i would think it would help but it would make sense if it didnt help, the stress from the changing lights or something. Isnt it possible to get a hermie from messing with the lights. I dunno im just pondering.

Not sure what location your in but in US right now its cold as shit and I cant imagine the sun is that strong this time of year. During veg it really dont matter as long as you dont kill the plant but this is not going to work when flowering and why not just leave the plant inside and get a better light. The sun this time of year is not going to be as good as an HID 18 inches away. If your in spring or summer where you are then I guess its fine but a pain in the ass.
