Using floodlights in a grow closet?

Found some really cheap HPS and MH floodlights on UK ebay. Been looking for a 150w system in the uk but havent really found any cheap ones as im on a budget. I've found these:

Could I get two of these, shove in two bulbs, wire on two plugs and away I go in place of a 150w system?

Or maybe even a single 250w flood light? Or is there something missing IE ballast or something.

yup...the floodlight has a ballast built into it...I have two 150watt hps floodlights myself that are working great

I've bought the same thing....but I bought 2 250w hps flood light...and i THINK it should get the job done

Pretty impressive I'd say so far...I keep snipping buds off and quickdrying them and the high is awesome

Says they use 'double ended bulbs'. What socket is that called as they dont come with the bulbs:/?

jesus fuck you two...his question has nothing to do with Y splitters...

That 70watt MH fixture uses bulbs like these: http://www.1000bulbs.com/category/70-watt-rx7s-base-double-ended-metal-halide-lamps/

well at least thats a "double ended MH bulb"...though the fixture in the picture of that ebay auction looks like a standard E26...I'd contact the seller

Sorry Massah you are right please accept my apologies, I misread... Ignore my link to the y adapters..... they are for regular light bulbs...
The metal halide seems to have a better kelvin range than the HPS. I dont see many talking about using these I wonder why?

There is every grow lamp system listed on that webpage...you talking specifically about the incandescent at the top? The reason nobody talks about them is because their heat to usable light ratio is insufficient for proper cannabis cultivation...even for side lighting...its much better to use CFL's

Are these easy to wire to use on a plug outlet? Or could you wire it to an extension cord?
