The problem with the Fox Farm feeding schedule is the dosages. People need to be aware that if they follow it they are going to run into issues, primarily nute burn, but other issues can arise. If you are using Ocean Forest as your soil (it already has nutrients in it). I am surprised your plants aren't burnt, you should post some pictures. Reduce the nutrients to 1/3 of what Fox Farm tells you to do on the schedule. Also make sure the top level of your soil is nice. if your perlite is yellow-ish that is a sign of buildup which will affect your soil Ph. make sure that after you mix your nutes that your water is between 6.2-6.8, so this might require you buying a PH test kit (drops, or a ph pen) and checking that before you feed the plant. AND only feed nutes every other watering.

Thanks for all the info. I think I will cut the nutes in half and checking the ph in the water. I will update and post some pics soon !!

Is that the pH of the water after adding foxfarm? After I add tiger bloom or grow big it drops the pH big time. I have to use pH up to get it back in range. Are you saying the nutes are causing your water to go to 8.0? What's the pH of the water before nutes?

I use FF nutes and soil (and 3 gallon pots!). I routinely have to add PH Down. My tap water runs any where between 7.0 to 8.5. After adding nutes, it's about 7.0. When I started adding Cal-Mag, it dropped somewhat. Are you adjusting your nutrient solution's PH before giving it to your plants?

What are you using to measure your pH?

FFOF is usually acidic and that 8.0 pH sounds wonky, if it is the soil pH.

If you are using one of those soil meters with the prongs, it is probably giving you an inaccurate reading.

I take it your using the powders like cha-ching and beasty blooms, as well as open sememi. They cause alkalinity issues, meaning that they will inhibit your buffering capacity. I would suggest you do a saturate you planter completely for about 30 mins and then flush it with 9 gallons of ph adjusted 6.0-6.5 water per plant to wash all the salts out and then return to using your nutes at half strength. Oh yeah, let your soil dry a little after the flush. +Add some michorrhizae "FoxFarm Bushdoctor Kangaroots" .
