i have a small powder mold problem. i was going to try using milk because ive heard that works well. i have a couple questions for someone who has done it.

- after spraying do you let the milk dry? my plants are not budding. And i would let them dry before turning back on my light?

and is there no rotten milk smell?

any other ideas would be great. im going to deal with this problem today. asap. would like to go the cheapest method, not sure how much sm90 or gc90 or whatever costs. anyone bought any at the hydro shop?

I've heard of using milk, I've used a different mix though with good results. 1 quart of water, 1 tsp. Of baking soda and a couple of drops of liquid dish soap. I plucked the affected leaves and sprayed and continued this every 2 to 3 days at around an hour before light off and I never saw it again.

Oh yeah, also I corrected my rh. The first step in controllong a mold problem is getting your humidity to an un-hospitable level for mold to grow in. Under 60% but 40% is best. And you can also turn your temps up, that will aid in the battle. But key is controlling your rh.

hey just a follow up the milk with a drop of soap worked GREAT. just applied once with some qtips (didnt have spray bottle at the time) when they were very small. the mold seemed to disappear when it got wet and Never came back, well at least not a couple weeks into flowering

no milk no milk no milk.......invest in a sulphar vaporizer if you want to stop the powder mildew...milk will only slow the progression however the spores will still spread only to hit harder later. the sulphar vapor changes the ph of the leaf surface to make the plant uninhabitable for the mildew. ive most of the products and home remedys including the milk spray and serenade only to not be able to stop the problem. the day i got my sulphar pot my mildew problems have stopped. just dont run it after 4 weeks flowering.

Thanks for the tip but for now the burner isn't for me..maybe next time around but I dunno about the smell, taste, etc..plus I'm going totally organic this time around..milk has worked just fine for me in the past..
