Using neem during flowering?

Mites just showed up as trichs are turning milky. How late do ya'll think you shpould still use neem? I have used it pretty late before, and just did a long cure before I smoked it.

This seems limited to a few leaves on the tops by the way.

As a follow up, if I can't or shouldn't use neem, How should I go about drying them?

Thanks

I don't think that stuff really works. I tried to use it for gnats and it hurt the plant and not the gnats. You could try some predators www.naturescontrol.com sells them.

You can use a vacuum to suck a few of them off the plant. It wont help much but its better than nothing.

i wouldn't recommend spraying anything on plants in flower. that's an easy way to get moldy buds...

and hydrophobic extract of neem doesn't kill insects; it's basically a glorified plant shine/wax, and deters pests from wanting to eat the plants. dish soap kills mites, nicotinic acid will kill flies (drop a cigarette ore two in a glass of water, let it sit for a couple of days, strain, and use the water to spray).

I used neem on some that had 2 weeks left. Didnt hurt the buds really as far as mold or anything. Seemed like the leaves yellowed rapidly and dropped. Which in the end affected the buds obviously.
Its a hard call, because mites can be the most terrible thing and ruin your crops again and again, very hard to get rid of sometimes. SO its like- should I potentially mess up my current harvest?? Or potentially mess up my future aswell ?. I personally would try to wipe em out. If you spray, use a specific mite killer not just neem, And be careful with it. Hold the leaf your spraying in your hand and get both sides. Try to keep it off the buds. If you do get it on the buds, high pressure them with just water the day after to rinse.

If you get nasty chemicals on your buds and they are not shakeable you can rinse the bud and make hash with one of those ice-o-lator bags.

Also forgot to say lol- predators are the best thing for mites. Seen em work better than the destroyers and they are cheeper.

Don't spray now it will really mess up the taste of the bud. They won't have time to kill the plants if you are already that far in.

Just wait until after you crop out to go apeshit with bombs and stuff.

I agree neem oil seems to do more harm to my plants than it does to the mites. Totally a waste of time and money so far.

Still somehow I am tempted to buy that new "organic pesticide" is like atrozol or something that they extract from neem. Please wont somebody stop me from being duped by another marketing scam.

Seriously, if anybody has used that stuff. Please speak up. :hump:

You could try a 100% organic pyrethrum spray made from 100%crysthanthemum flowers and co2 as the propellant in a deionized h20 base---Spray with fans on.

I have used AZATROL and it's a very good product but not this late in the game---You're in a tough spot---------I've seen spider mites ruin entire crops in days and I really feel for ya. You have to make a choice and fast...

Neem oil is an organic FUNGICIDE. Not bug control guys. It works best as a bi weekly preventative but can be sprayed daily to reduce/remove fungus on your girls. It doesn't work as well as a chemical solution, so if its bad you need to go chem, but if its not too far gone or being used as a preventative it works well.

thanks ya'll. I ended up using a 1 to 1 alcohol/distilled water spray, and to my amazement it worked! (for now) Didn't even rupture the glands like I thought it might.

Neem works well for me as a mite-a-cide, but that could just be the penetrant (soap). I've used it up to 5 weeks in flower with no noticeable taste and it killed the critters. Of course I wouldn't use it in flower if it didn't have fungicidal properties.

Thanks dank, just read up on azatrol. that's my next purchase. Just bleached the fuck out of my visqueen liners, the walls, the floor, tools...etc.
Until I get the azatrol, it's goning to be a rotation of alcohol, pyrethrens, neem, cigarette juices....:fire: kill those little stinking bastards!

I've got too much residual toxins right now to try bio control. As long as I live where I do, it'll be a battle. I live in a cabin and everything is right next to outdoors.

thanks agin everyone:clap:
