Using too much perlite?

2 parts gardener mix 1 part peat moss and 1 part perlite, would be cool. but the way you've done it will be alright.

perlite helps get oxygen to the roots. using a lot is good for the plants and as you water it will thin out because it flaots to the top of the soil a bit. as the widowman says 2:1:1 soil
erlite:vermiculite. it wouldnt be bad to do 3:2:1, respectively, if your soil is oretty good at retaining moisture

80 might be to hot..if u have a fan blowing on ur ladies then it should be fine..my room is always around 72-75degrees..
i know this is an old thread but to anyone who stumbles on this, u dont need to keep ur temps at 72-75, from my expirience u can have it from 72 lowest with lights on -to about 88 degrees hottest anymore and u might heat stress a little, again sorry for addin to this old post.

oldie!!!!.... you can go down to 65 degrees! thats how i get my flowers to change colors, and u can go up to 100 degrees but u dont want it to be 100 degrees the whole 12,18,or 24 hours that the light is on! think about outside,u get days that get into the 100's but its not 100 degrees out all day!..
