Hey man! I read the entire thread and it is really cool! You are doing some good work.
How heavy is the fertilization in your soil?
Thanks a lot man!
Moderately heavy, whenever I get the right mix it can take me through to the next transplant. My mix was roughly 1cup kelp meal, 2cups soft rock phosphate, .5 cup high N guano (better results with it than without obviously, but there are few of my plants that don't have it), .5cup garden lime, and 20% ewc. If I left out the guano then I found myself using some Vega, with great results I might add, any deficiency was corrected within a few days and growth was never stunted.
To be honest I really don't worry about mixing heavily ferted soils, I've never burnt a plant with any amended mix, I even remember once I amended FFOF with lots of stuff and didn't get any problems. Most of it takes a while to break down, so it's difficult to burn a well established plant.
There are a couple problems that I have been working through. The first is that my Happy Frog fertilized soil has about as much water retention as a dinner plate. I have my plants in 3 gallon buckets and when I water, the water quickly runs out to the pan in the bottom, and doesn't retain well in the soil.
I've never used happy frog, and I don't know what the texture is like, but this happens to me with promix sometimes, I water and ALL the water comes straight out and it doesn't saturate well. What I do is water half of whatever amount I'm using, let it run-off and soak for about 10-15min I find that when I lift the pot if it's heavy then it took as much as it needed, and if not I set it down and water a bit more. I should also mention that I clean the saucers after each use, so when the plant is soaking up the run-off the saucer isn;t crusty and shit.
I have amended this on my newest batch by mixing a 1:1 ration of Happy Frog with Pro Mix Professional. I like the water absorbtion much better, but now I will have to retweak my nutrient solution for the new batch, which leads me to problem number two. When I retransplanted my plants into the Happy Frog, for a week I gave it water with Cannazyme and Rhizotonic in it, the next week I started adding 4ml of BioVega to the solution, the third week I added 8ml and found that my plants kinda stunted and darkened up, and beginning to get nutrient burn. When I noticed that it was getting worse, I went back to just the water and Cannazyme/Rhizotonic until present and plan on doing so until I bloom. I'm trying to use up the nutes in the soil so that when Bloom time comes, I can safely add my BioFlores and hopefully not have the problems that I am having now. Did you run into any of these issues when adding your Nutrient solution to fertilized soil? I see that you add quite a bit of nutrients to your plants and even to your clones.
No, not at all really. I don't use the cannazyme or rhizotonic, I feel I don't need those things, although I kind of want to try hygrozyme which is basically the same as cannazyme. So I don't really know if that caused your problem, it's possible but idk. It could have been that 8ml feeding you gave... Whenever I did use Vega in veg, I used half strength unless I saw some kind of deficiency progress, if so I'd use 8ml/gal of the Vega with added maxicrop seaweed.
There's quite a few biocanna users on here, I'll post a link to Matt Rize's thread, he runs biocanna in soil less and knows a lot, and can surely help you.

Good luck man, I'm sure your mix will be fine but don't be afraid to through in some kelp meal!
