Has anyone heard of or tried this method? I read that UV-B is what causes the plants to produce essential oils, including resin, and that hanging a UV-B terrarium light within 20" of your plant will help ensure your plant is producing maximum oils and trichomes. If someone can confirm it works, I would hang one in the top of my cabinet.
I stumbled across this info while trying to research normal trichome production. My plants are in week 5 of 12/12 (week 4 of actual flowering) and the only trichomes I can see are right on the buds and it takes a microscope to see those. I'm not sweating it yet. This is my first grow, and bagseed and I know alot of trichome production can depend on the strain and genetic and I have no idea what I have growing here.
I don't know much about bud production from start to finish and this is my first grow, so I am learning by watching my plants. You can only learn so much through reading rather than doing.
