I dont know..I wish to know if there is even a correct amount of Fr....Petiole angle usually increases with added Fr...but this does not mean that you are using a "correct " amount...just that plant is reacting to that.. Some growers think that praying is not a good think , others believe that is a good symptom...
I have not yet a firm opinion to this issue...Anyway, is a good question

I ask because my last run I incorporated HLGs FR boards into my grow and ran during flower. I had mad praying tops entire time which I liked, also ran the FR for 5 minutes after lights out to put them to sleep faster. Cant say it "sped" up my flower time but the nugs came out better than my previous without FR supplement.

Same happened to me..altought with other lights as Fr sources. I like praying also, but still trying to understand better the many roles Far red has... And still trying to figure the best red/far red ratios in every stage of plant development. right know i am adding far red all day even in veg..using CRI 80 samsungs as main light so maybe people with a 90 CRI dont need to add it..Anyway the sun has an almost equal amount of red and far red..slightly more red... so I think there is still lot of room to add more far red that we are currently using.

oh man, i start to consider some far red now too, lol,
so 320w 3000k 80cri base, 4 x 13w uva/uvb reptile bulbs.
And maybe also 20w 660nm on a seperate channel and about 5w far red also on a seperate channnel.

Hlg very briefly had a UVA strip and I seem to remember 360-ish, 390-ish, and 410 maybe, can't remember exactly; now they have something else and it doesn't seem to be the same strip (a blue strip, not uva). I looked on rapid and it looks like they did the same thing to the friggin exotic board! Am I out of my mind or are did they rework some of these boards? I seemed to remember rapid's exotic going lower than fucking 390-395. I can buy 395 on Amazon.

I don’t recall seeing lower than 390 when I bought a bunch of chips to add to my Samsung strips replicating their Mass Medical aux light.

It stood out to me that's why I remembered them. I specifically wanted to buy either of those strips because they had sub 390 uva. HLG's strip looked sweet but they disappeared before I could scoop any. Now rapid has added red on the exotic board it didn't have before and nothing lower than 390. Everybody trying to add r spec to absolutely everything, even a uva board. Grr.

I figured I could find a decent uva solution for under 200 dollars but it looks like I'll stick to my $30 Amazon 385nm.

Stephen from HLG has said they will be adding that UVA strip back in a week or 2.

I really hope so. Seems like I get the money together for this stuff and it's gone lol. Very frustrating. I really hope it's the same or similar to what they had before.

Hey guys im looking at getting some pre built boards, do you think its worth it to get a version with a separate switch for the UV lights? Or would it be ok to run full cycle?
