Uvonair® UV ozone generators - do they work

So im completly sick of dealing with carbon filters.
Does anyone use or now of someone who uses a Uvonair UV and ozone generator?

Given the cost if it even work close to well it would be way more worth it to me in the long run then replacing filters all the damn time.

Side question - if it does work then is it safe to actually keep IN the flower room or should it be kept in the space outside of the actual grow area? Does the ozone hurt the plants?

I've used the inline uvonair with the 2 bulbs and the uvonair 1000 which looks a bit like a torch and out of the two i think the uvonair 1000 works better. I was growing an extremely smelly strain (uk clone called livers) and i couldn't smell anything outside the house at all or inside for that matter. I was still using a carbon filter which i think you should do but they do help, belt and braces, safety first. Good luck mate

I don't use uvonair but you should find out what sort of amount of ozone it pumps, most are around 80mg/ph for around a hundred quid whereas the 3 units I use were £20 each from an online medical supplies company which pushes a huge 400mg/ph each. By the way never ever have it in the grow room as the air is very dangerous, I have read medical articles that show deterioration of the lungs, the little hairs in the lungs especially and are just as harmful for your plants. Rather ozone the outlet air.

Mine work so well I can have 100 plants in an apartment with no smell period...

yes, they work great! i have mine in my exhaust to neutralize any smells my carbon filter missed, but i mainly got it to clean the stinky exhaust air given off by my portable a/c unit. my new room is under construction and i was wondering, before i turn my a/c unit on, will the hot exhaust air damage the uvonair system? i would vent my portable a/c out of the window but there isn't one in my room. so the ac sucks in stinky air, makes it cool and reuses, so i desperately need my uvonair to clean the hot, stinky, exhaust from my a/c? do you think it will damage the system peeps?

I have used uvonair ozone generators. They are a terrible product and a terrible company to deal with. Their ozone generators use "electrostatic glue" (quoting customer service) that is designed to fail. My uvonair failed after 10 months. You have to send your uvonair to Canada and pay shipping both ways. They have had it for 4 months now which is the usual rate according to their customer service. I complained and got the rep to handle shipping. Still a terrible experience. I strongly recommend against uvonair. By far the worst grow product I have ever used.

I had to buy a big blue ozone generator bc my uvonair was out of service so long for repair. The ozone is output is about twice as strong but I have only had the unit for a few months so I don't know about durability. The unit is made to connect to a duct. So far it greatly outperforms uvonair....but again...I have only had it for a few months. Bottom line...stay away from uvonair. Uvonair is the worst grow product I have ever used, with the worst customer service.

Also the "electrostatic glue" literally attracts dirt and dust and cannot be cleaned. Once the electrostatic glue gets dirty the unit no longer works. Uvonair unit is being used in a clean medical facility. Not a sawmill or somewhere that has a lot of dust. Unit failed after 10 months in a clean room. The product is designed not to last. It's a terrible worthless design that will fail sooner that later...with terrible customer service.
