Hi guys, ive been reading on concentrates a lot and searched on youtube for methods but every one has their different methods.
I just put together a 3 cfm 2 stage vacuum kit with 1/2" ball valves between pump and chamber. Im using a thick SS pot I found at Ross for 40 bucks. Lexan sheets from home depot stacked to about a little over an inch thick.
My problem is not getting the material to honeycomb over. I use trims with small bud.
From what ive seen, either people use no heat or 120F for the material to honeycomb over.
So here's my method, pls tell me what im doing wrong because its turning into perma goo.
1) spray into pyrex.
2) hot water bath until bubbles barely bubble
3) scrape onto parchment
4) straight to vacuum chamber with No heat( at this point, it expands but once it hits THE POINT, it just folds within itself)
Now, this is where theres a difference from the thread "Bho with vacuum"
In that thread, Guzias1 mentioned that he lets the material get to a solid ballon state. Well once I pop on the vacuum, it muffins out and shrinks and just keeps bubbling within itself. It doesnt ever reach the solid balloon state. It just stops bubbling but stays oily. Once I release the pressure, the balloons disappears and it stays oily.
This stops me from the "folding back to the center until you get a solid muffin ball" stage.
What am I doing wrong? Btw, it hits full vac.
