Hi...it is not second nature to me to be organised and take photos but I thought I would give it a go...might help someone and I will learn on the way. Any constructive criticism or advise will be much appreciated.

Ok 7 cuttings taken from mum on 27th Aug...unfortunately mum was then given a good sendoff.

4 out of 7 have shown some roots after 7 days.

Will get back later on equipment etc.

Wow nice roots! I have a question though. Why do you chop the leaves?
Doing it this way I can easily fit more clones in the small propagator I have, more importantly it halves the rate of transpiration, I try to cut off 50% of the leaf area (as a rough guide). I haven't done anything approaching scientific tests, but I reckon I get a couple of days start to ones I have taken before and left the leaves whole.

The other thing I notice is that they the leaves dont droop/drop for a day or so, they stay upright and green throughout, the first one was showing after 5 days which in my humble experience is quick.

Nice thanks for the info! I'm pretty much sticking to autos so I'm not cloning ATM but def good to know.

Delayed due to harvest of one and bud rot on another....discovered after this photo was taken.

07-forweb.jpg

The one at the back was a Big Buddha cheese grown from seed. I let it grow too big was going to keep it as a mother, but lack of space under lights again.

The one on the left in the photo was the only one I let grow without bending, cutting, shaping or any other type of mutilation. Massive cola on the top bud bud rot has eaten an area underneath... I carefully cut off what I could trying to get all of it away. I have started flushing and will check it tonight, might chop her down she smells lovely.

Day 14

ok panic over and all is good in the garden.

This is what I use to pot the clones in root riot cubes.

09-forweb.jpg

Not forgetting ...

11-forweb.jpg

I use 2 litre pots with an inch or 1 1/2 inches of Hydroton Clay Pebbles then top up with coco.

10-forweb.jpg

I fill the pot to the top of the plug then water with -

Formulex - 2.5ml per litre
GreenFuse Root - 1ml per litre
SuperThrive - a few drops in 8 litres

I let the pot sit in the bowl for a while (cup of tea and a spliff).

Let the pot drain drop the root riot in, carefully fill it up to the desired level, just above the cube.

Or level as I just noticed.

Give it a little top up and its ready to go under the light.

Marked the height, so I will put another post up soon with an update to how they've grown
