Vanilla Kush - Smoke Report (self grown)

Ok guys my first indoor harvested buds ever! btw pic is back in early flowering i didnt harvest it like that lmao, Here is the report:


Strain: Vaniila Kush from Barneys Farm from feminized seed attitude freebie
Growth: Very indicia - fairly slow growth 2month veg under 1000W MH, 1600W HPS in flower plant finished at about 20inches tall, very very tight node spacing, incredibly thick branches and dense buds, fan leaves the size of basketballs.
Nutes: Fox Farm Lineup including micro, Superthrive, Mollasses, Ocean forest soil 3.5 Galons
Yield: 27 gram dry so far maybe another ounce still on plant
Bag Appeal: Looks like quality kush buds, very dense with lots of orange hairs and crystals, fairly sticky..Bag appeal to a noobie is not that great but any experienced kush smoker can tell it is good stuff, to give you an idea of the density, a half ounce is only about the area of 2 bic lighters once dry
Smell: Very sweet and pleasant smell, floral, somewhat tropical for me it reminds me of the the good kush I have gotten along the gulf coast.
Taste: Very Sweet and pleasant.
The High: Head high is there but my mind stays clear, good body buzz, takes 5 minutes to creep on males it seems. The buzz last very long and is very comfortable buzz even for someone who is anxious.
Comments: Pride of my garden this harvest and I will grow a lot more of this strain, this bud I am smoking on now has only been drying 9 days and should get better, its the top cola which was harvested at day 60, I did two other partial havest, the plant is still going at around 75 days in flower

All in all this is some of the best buds I smoked in a really long time and I smoke dozens strains every week as I am a legal cardholder - but I am really biast toward kush and indicia smoke as I dont really enjoy sativa at all

yes it is some good smoke.. I grew a little bit more than an ounce on my plant.. It has a great smell...very sweet like you said Im re-vegging my plant because its was just that good...

yea mine is gunna be reveged also..the smoke is getting a lot better as it cures btw

I DWCed this 2 months veg yielded about 2- 2 1/2 ounces. Very sweet. my buds were very light airy but full of frost. I sampled a lot along the way. AT about 6 weeks it was very silly stupifying fun. 9 weeks was more clear and calm. Its Great im going to be very high for a while.

37 grams dry now, should have another 11 grams or so on the plant, mid week 11 currently, plant is pretty much all done

congatulations. this really is sweet smelling like candy. i heard so many bad things about the v kush. NOT TRUE. it is sweet frosty and very high.

The plant was a runt, also my first grow, the plant was under the 600W most of the time with from 5 to 14 others in a 3.5gal pot - suffered a little nute burn at week 6 or so and was heat stressed often 85F or higher early on and halfway thru, the plant was not topped or trained, was put in flower at 1ft tall - very indicia - slow vegger - fast budder - thick stalks - tight nodes - huge leaves

i put mine in flower at 2 months 1000w dwc my temps were also above around 85-90 humidity 50-60%. I also did not train. i used gh 3 part florolicious aqua shield and hygrozyme my v kush did not like the hygrozyme . i believe it was around nine weeks when chopped.

Did you only have the one plant, or were there others under the 600w?

Got five feminised seeds of this strain that im looking forward to growing out.

i need some indica right now.

Can you give a final call on your push? Were you overall satisfied? Disappointed? Did the buds cure a lot more as you mentioned they will. I mean am I gonna be totally stoked about this push? i have to chose my grows carefully since i can only push 2 ladies at a time right now.. I have V.Kush and some others, ironically also from "the tude" and I've got enough time for maybe 1 more push before winter. So any details would be greatly appreciated...

can you remember if the smell during any growing stage was strong enough to stink (smell of bud - noticeably) out a room or many?

I dunno if my buddy just sucks or what, but he had a shit load of vanilla k going and it was all mediocre, all 3 phenos.

even my wife said it sucks, and she gets higher easier than I.

but we're comparing this to stuff like vortex, so maybe that's the problem..

whatever is good for is good for you, and that's all that matters though
