Vaporizer selection

so i've been looking at getting a vaporizer, I have tried a flight box, wasnt to impressed. I've been looking at the Plenty, i did look at the Vivape 2, heard mixed reviews and that it was not as good as the volcano, but the price has been dropped and is now around 300$, so its almost half the price of the volcano and has the option of whip or bag for smoking. I've also looked at portable ones mainly the miVape and the Pax. the miVape has received very good reviews... but i cant really find much on it, doesn't look like you can purchase it anywhere and I've never seen or heard of anyone that has one, despite the few review sites I've read so it seems kinda fishy to me. Ive heard great things about the Pax and it seems to be the top portable model out there.
so does anyone have first hand experience with the Vivape 2, and its comparison to more mid range products now that the price has dropped?

I just got a Magic Flight Launch Box. Fucking amazing. So small and compact. Hardly any smell and it kinda smells like popcorn. Tastes like popcorn with a little aftertaste of ganja. I feel like I get a lot more out of the same amounts that I use to smoke. Plus the used ganja can still be used to make oils and such.

I was always running out of my stash before my next crop would come in and ended up having to buy from dispensaries which never have high quality, as well as rip off prices. Bought a Volcano and now it takes me forever to get through my stash. :-)

I've had a magic fligh for years, biggest waste of my money to date. If you really want to try it out, then onsider "da cube" or however it's spelt. Just a generic knockoff for a fraction of the price. either way though, for anyone with a smidgeon of a tolerance level, the MFLB, the general concensus seems to be that it's a waste of time.

I spent a good time reading every portable review i could find, and the pax does indeed seem like the best bet. I jut wish someone would make a portable vap that could be recharged via micro usb from one of these external phone/tablet battery packs.

In terms of sitting around and having a vap, then if vaping is your thing, the volcano is simply fantastic. I don't use mine as much as i'd like, given the price i paid, that is to say once or twice a year, nothing compares to a joint for me, but when i do use it, it is fantastic. While i for some reason don't find mine to be as efficient as other people find theirs (could be that i'm jut using street weed and not something grown to perfection) but i do like that i can take the waste, stick it in a joint, and get a buzz on in the morning :) Hell of a lot better than lighting up a roach. Bleurgh!

The volcano bag is just not fitting in my universe. The SSV is like smoking a joint. Just a hit when I want it. To each his own for sure.

The MFLB- I've gone through a few. Old technology and well underpowered. Even with aftermarket batteries. The AC power is good... when it works. I finally said screw it, bought the PAX, bought the SSV and that's the combo I roll with.

It doesn't fit too well in my universe either, especially having two highly "playful" kittens destroying everything that rustles :/ But once it's full, it does the job.

£200 is a hell of a lot of money for a portable vap though given my financial circumstances. But if i could afford it, i'd definately try a pax.

For sure it does the job. Don't get me wrong. That Volcano was the first real tool for vaping. Everything else was just inadequate. It'll be in the Canna Hall of Fame

I have a volcano and a Magic Flight Box. I got the portable first, and used it farly often. I just got tired of always recharging the batteries. After putting out close to 400 euros I should use my volcano daily. I am getting rid of mine, because unless I have friends over its just not my cup of tea. I find the whip style more practical to use daily. I know alot of people that use their Volcanos all the time and trust me it is an awesome experiance I just prefer the whip, but maybe I find a dual set for a reasonable price like the arizer.

Agreed-

The whip vape I have - SSV- can continuously feed a group immediately. Instant. I leave it on all day. Like smoking a joint

After searching through the web through all the reviews, I first bought an "No2". Cool thing about this vape is that you can plug it in to your wall to charge it but its also charges and is portable. The other cool feature it has digital temperature control. However the bowl capacity is rather small for my needs, and the vapor isn't as thick as I'd like.

Next I bought the Magic Flight Box, which everyone seemed to be soooooooo crazy about and in love with.
I will say that as far as fairly priced portability goes, this vaporizer has no equal. Also you don't have to wait for it to heat up,
as long as your batteries are charged. The temperature is set to a steady 380F, which I find is strong enough but almost too strong sometimes. So what's the drawback of the Magic Flight? Probably having to constantly charge the batteries, you have to have at least 4. A weak battery = a weak draw.

After the Magic Flight Box I was satisfied but somehow I felt I was not getting what I want out of vaporization.
Also I was not saving tons of herb, like I had read about with vaporization.
I decided to save up for the big daddy. The volcano. Because I liked the digital temperature from the No2 so much, I had to get the Digital Volcano!! This was quite a mission for me, it took me about 2 months of working hard and saving up.
Finally I had it. It took me about 1 week to really adjust to using the volcano and learning the world of the bag system, learning how many times I can vape a bowl until its spent, etc.
Its been a year now of heavy, daily use. I must say I am EXTREMELY pleased with this purchase.
The Volcano doesn't burn up the herb in the same way my previous vapes did, it leaves it evenly brown and toasty. This is great because I often re-roll my vaped material to smoke it.

Good luck with your own vaporizing journey and I hope you are happy with your choice:peace:

The Volcano, classic or digital, is the best vape, hands down. Nothing else comes close. The pax, IMO, is the best portable vape although it's around $250. The MFLB has been around a long time, is proven, & is cheap ($125). Portable vapes require a learning curve with temperatures, how to load it, how to hit it, etc. Pen vapes burn the weed. Rumor has it, Storz & Bickell (makers of the Volcano) are developing a portable vape. If so, this should quickly become the standard for portables, although it will certainly be pricey. You get what you pay for.

I just picked up a Da Buddha Vape. I love it.

I had one of the original Vapor Brothers vape when they first came out years ago. I was gonna get another VBV, but the DBV is awesome. I'm really happy I picked one up.

I never had a problem with a horizontal, or upwards, or downwards facing load. I think that's bullshit marketing hype ;)

Interesting to see what storz and bickel come up with if they do. Although depends what they mean by portable. Last i recall they marketed their plenty as a portable vape.

As to the MFLB being cheap, i disagree. For a piece of wood and some innards, it is extortionate. Part of that price though is due to the warranty, so long as you can take a photo proving it was the MFLB they will repalce it, i recall a user who's dog chewed theirs up and they replaced it without a question. $125 is not cheap imo for something that any heavy smoker will tell you is a PITA to actually get high from, for that kind of performance i'd just go with da kube, a clone of the MFLB except it is about a quarter of the price (i believe the guys who made the MFLB did not get patents in europe or soemthing and as such people jumped straight in with the knockoffs)

Hopefully i get a chance to try a whip style vape at the CC this month.
