Veg a little too long? +rep

been vegging for a while now dont know exactly how long?

The problem is i only have a 400 hps and since putting them in to flower they have taken off, i am a little worried that they are not going to recieve any light at bottom.

Would it make any difference if i put a line of cfl's under the canopy and what colour lights, i have both 6500k and 2700k.

Any advice on a cheap good liquid fert for bigger buds.

all light helps my friend you want the red cfl lights not blue spec but to be honest they look amazing you can always chop 1 or 2 fan leaves or bend the top of plant a little. i use pk13/14 mixed with canna boost its a little pricey but you can get small bottles for around 20euros hope this helps

lollipop your plants and force the flowering towards the tips. remove 1 foot of branches above the soil for adequate air flow. I also recommend Advanced nutrients big bud as a good enchancer.

The CFL's will def help!! Get the 2700k's for flowering try to get 26w or higher but lower watt bulbs will work too. As for ferts i'd get fox farm big bloom and tiger bloom and your plants will love you forever!!!!

Cheers for the advice but will this not stress the plant, its my first grow so i am a noob, sorry if this is a daft question.

hey man, look alot of people say stuff here thats b.s. if your new your best bet to have a successful grow is to not do anything especially in flowering if you wanted to prune or lollipop thats what you do in veg you just sit back now. you'll get a little bud from the bottom DON'T CUT THE FAN LEAVES. and you'll go just fine. you can never veg to long. that just makes a bigger plant. there are guys that veg big monsters with 8 colas for 8 months so its ok just relax don't cut her up and enjoy.

You may have grown these plants for too long but the plant in the pictures look well nice.Get them on 12/12 off now because they will double and tripple in size.My experiance in growing is that you can veg for too long if your op is small.Unless it is a legal medical grow always flower no taller than 1 ft tall.

they have been in veg too long, i'd get them on 12/12 now, but you will have a higher yield due to the over veg. they look good though.

Is there legislation on the age of a plant before flower? My question is.... Is there a true plant enthusiest that is willing to make a veg room and have a plant in there for years, snipping, clipping and keeping it short, theres gotta be! Or is your concern more based on strain must flower at certain height.....or do they autoflower no matter what after a while? I would love to have the time and money to go to pot college. Looked freeking cool on TV! You can teach a pothead anything as long as it involves pot in some way!

cheers for the comments on my babies, advice to anybody who is new, just get a grow on and learn as you go. Forget about CO2 and ossmosis filters for now, knowledge is the best thing.

The only reason i was concerned was the 400 hps wont have enough light penetratation to get to the bottom. If there going to double maybe tripple its going to be like a black hole at the bottom.

If you're that concerned about the height, push a screen on top of them & go into scrog. I do that to mine @ 30" & tend to allow them to grow out (shaggy scrog), but thats me.
