I just used what each of the packages say for the calculations. My guess is that you'd likely use 70% of any of those formulas.

But wait a sec.. Didn't you say a page or two back that you were having deficiencies running at lower ppms? Maybe if you used it as directed, you wouldn't need all those other boosters. Then again, using it as a base only doesn't seem wrong either. It's just that the point of it is that it supposed to be "all-in one".

I'm glad that I ran those numbers for myself. At the end of the day though, the reality is that if it's only three cents per gallon of feed difference, it really doesn't make much difference.

We used it at half power and got deficiencies. We have found 70-80% of recommended works great and requires no Cal Mag or Silica.

What about the high-P "Bloom Booster" fertilizers you might ask? To induce more prolific flowering, a reduced N supply will have more and better effect than the high P bloom formulas. When N is reduced, it slows vegetative growth without reducing photosynthesis. Since vegetative growth is limited by a lack of N, and the photosynthetic machinery continues to turn out food, it leaves an expendable surplus for the plant to spend on flowers and fruit. Plants use about 6 times more N than P, so fertilizers that supply more P than N are wasteful and more likely to inhibit blooms (remember that too much P inhibits uptake of Fe and many micro-nutrients - it raises pH unnecessarily as well, which could also be problematic). Popular "bloom-booster" fertilizers like 10-52-10 actually supply about 32x more P than your plant could ever use (in relationship to how much N it uses) and has the potential to wreak all kinds of havoc with your plants.

works great. has everything you need in it. sorry but this thread name is super annoying " veg bloom scam?" . why is it the first 2 pages on here you guys acting like they asked for your freaking ssn. if youre scared to try it be gone. customer support from them has been super helpful an honest. its an amazing product. anyone can make their own nutes quite easily, but if you dont have the knowdlege to do so this is an amazing product.

BTW i run at about 3/4 strenght and 1/2 ml - 1 ml per gallon of cal mag in veg

I noticed this thread was old but all pre mix store bought soils are scams "Make Your Own" best advice EVER.
This thread started with Cheep Outdoor Soils I recommend go to Lowes/Home Depote get the Orange or Green bag of Eco Scraps Brand for $7 1.5 cu ft - Read up online and learn what soil is and how it becomes great naturally... start making your own earthworm castings for now buy some and some other phosphate light/heavy amendments - READ UP and LEARN.... Take the eco scraps and mix it 2 to 1 with any good inert soil & 1/10th perlite, add castings every time you plant and amend the soils every so often.
If I grow outside that is how I start.. me I'm looking for great Bio Char Worm Rich Land, unfortunately I have to grow inside cause Prohibitionist and Pirates suck big ass. I have Used the same Fox Farm Ocean Mix for years I just amend it and use Kelp Meal as one of the amendments, as for outside I'd be very careful with it and mushroom mixes cause MAN worms are so cool and if U get and keep them around U R King/Queen Farmer

Again an old thread.... but veg+bloom is insanely bad.... I am mixing a 250ltr tank.... and have to use LOADS of it to get up to an ec of 1.5.... thats basically half the bloody pot of 1lb.

At this rate it is terrible value for money... about 15 bucks a tank.

Have you tried Jack's a/b or Megacrop a/b? The 25 lb bags are a killer deal and you can find cheaper cal nit elsewhere if you really want to keep costs down.

Nope... im in Europe.... so I can't get hold of either of those without importing costs.

I'm gonna do the whole run with veg+bloom then swap back to atami liquids I think. They are loads cheaper than this bullshit. The other option was greenhouse seeds new nutrient line.... dunno of its as bad as their seeds. Lol
