Veg clone vs flowering clone

I've cloned a vegging plant and a flowering plant and I've come to the conclusion that cloning a vegging plant gives a better yield. As far as growing a quicker bud a flowering clone is best. But, you'll only get 1-4" to 8" bud per plant and it takes 4 to 6 clones to equal 1 vegging clone plant put into flowering. A clone taken from a vegging mother will produce as much as the mother herself. I've taken a clone from a flowering mother and vegged it for 5 days and put it right back into flowering and 8 weeks later harvest it. I did this with 8 ThaixSkunk. Now maybe I was doing something wrong but even though it was my first time cloning a flowering mother I think I did ok. The smoke is as good as the mother is, just not near as much. Maybe if I give them more time to veg and get some growth on it. Final word is, It's not worth flowering a flowering clone after 5 dayz of veg. Sure, they all 8 took root but I wish there had been more. This Thai is KILLER, Budz look like snow capped mountains - pretty as can be.

well yeah the longer you veg the better the yeild , so i can see why flowering clones dont yeild asmuch as clones the have veg time

That sucks loosing 15 babies. I don't like tossing a plant unless it just flat dies. I've been growing a long time but never liked change or experimenting but here lately I have tried new things and I keep learning. Some of the things I read don't always work out the way I want but they do work. 1 thing for certain is I'll always pull clones. I've had clones that grew as good as the mother.

I'm considering ditching my mothers in favor of pulling clones from my flowering gals. My main reason for this is: flowering clones, as I understand, branch and produce new growth at a quicker rate. Supposedly, the clone from a flowering plant has a more mature cellulose structure which allows for more efficient growth. I run a scrog so the increased branching is very intriguing to me. Being able to ditch my mother light being on 18/6 all the time will be nice also. I hoping to cut my clones at day 21 of flowering. Goal is to have them rooted and vegged for a few days just in time to drop in to my flowering chamber as I pull out the current batch. Most of what I have stated is me paraphrasing my online research......so it might be B.S. lol
