Veg Mode ( Question )

Pic doesn't work. I can't see how you're having light probs at 10 days old though.

I'm 10 days into Veg. My ladies are visually growing each day I have a few big leafs that are at the top of the plant. I'm wondering if I can snip the tips to let light penetrate to the lower growth more easily. I was going to try and LST them but I just dont see the reasoning behind it? I imagine the weight of the plant vs. the tape will just become unstuck. Attached is a photo so you can see what I'm working with.

during veg the plant grows roots and new stems & leaves dont remove any leaves during veg at all
during flower when the leaves yellow then u can pluck them but i wouldnt remove leaves during veg

Read everything in that thread twice, then google lst (low stress training) amd read all that twice, research is key man, dont use tape to hokd down the plant, like you said it wo.t be steong enough, the beat thing todo is make holes along the rim of your pot and then bend the plant over and tie down with string

I'm wondering if I should tie down ... LST I've never done that before do I tape the leafs to the side of my smart pot ? Or try and pull the stem ? It's pretty thick but still worried I could snap something.. I'm using 600w MH for veg and then bumping up to 1000w for flower.

I can't put holes in my smart pots they are fabric. I pulled the branch to the side and taped the very tip of the leaf to the side of the pot. See pic.. if it holds cool, if it doesn't then I'll just say fuck it and let them grow without . Did I do it right?

Yes you did it right, but that tape isn't going to hold. Get yourself some twist ties or even paperclips would work better.

If you want to try LST what worked easiest for me ( especially with smart pots) is to take some coathangers and cut pieces 4 or 5 inches long and either bend them in half, or make a hook around the top
Use those to tie it down and work your way around the pot. Later on when your flowering you can remove them one by one. LST can have great benefits in producing multiple colas, but it can also extend your veg time as it takes time to fill in the pot. But if you do, you'll have yourself a nice shrubbery like very dense plant.
