Veg Time

I'm experimenting with my veg time and pot size. When working with clones in an indoor setting how long do you veg for? At what height do you turn them over? What size pots do you use?

all depends on your grow space size, I like to veg for 4-6 weeks with tight node spacing. I go with 22/2 with my lights, i have good results with this method. My plants get 24''-30'' in veg, and then grow another 8''-10'' in flower mode. I like to use 3 gallon, or the 5 gallon wide ones. Depends how you want your plant to be, a wider pot will make the plant wanna fill out more, verses a taller pot the plant will tend to get higher than the other way.

In the past I have always vegged for 1 or 2 weeks, but I am currently testing 3 and 4 week veg times. I run my lights 18 on and 6 off. I have also noticed the taller pots grow the plants more vertically. I am currently experimenting with root maker pots and air pots. I have 2 gallon, short, root maker pots that vegged for 3 weeks and 3 gallon, tall, air pots that vegged the same strain for 2 weeks. The plants in the 3 gallon pots, which vegged one week less are taller, have thinner stocks, less foliage, and buds are spaced further apart.

You just have to water more with those air pots, but they are awsome for healthy root growth.

Really? How many times would you water in a flood and drain system? I have always watered once a day as soon as the lights turn on.
