vegging cuttings from flowering plants

i screwed up my labeling on my last cycle. the only way i could tell the 2 strains that got mixed up was to wait until week 5+ of flower as one of my strains get a nice purple tint to her. i had 4 plants in question, i took 2 cuttings off each plant and labeled them accordingly. i then cloned the cuttings and all 8 were successful in growing out. they look really odd with their one finger leafs. now they are starting to grow normal leaves on the tops. i have now relabeled them correctly and are ready to get things started.

heres my question:

can i top or at least cut about 1/2 the plant. it grew all kinds of funky and stretchy, even tho i had it in my veg room (600w) and had plenty of light. will cutting it down allow it to grow back normally, or will it mess her up?

should i wait another few weeks, then take cuttings off of them, then clone them out? if i go this route, will they grow like normal, or will they grow all funky like they currently are growing?

today i potted 2 of each strain in 1 gal pots.

In all honesty the plant will return back to normal whichever route you go. The only thing I would really do is wait until growth returns to normal before cloning, however even a fucked up clone should also return to normal given enough time. Ive noticed clones sometimes go through a weird growth phase after transplanting, and revegging is known for causing weird growth as well. Just make sure you give them good light intensity and they will be fine

thanks!!

I had to remove them from my veg tent. I don't have the room for 4 1.5gal pots. so they are under a 2-4' 6500k T8 on 18/6 for until I flip around the 1st of the month. then they will go back in the tent. maby ill grow them out until they revert back to normal veg state, then pull some cuttings, then grow those out and ditch these. Im still 2-3 weeks past the time I want to flip. so the delay might help me a bit.

I just revegged some plants that were in deep flower like 5 or so weeks. I had to move and didn't want to leave them there and they were all pretty small. Like about a 12-18" It took a little over two months of 24/0 light to get them back to full on veg. They're doing pretty good now but I probably should have just trashed them and cloned new stock off my mothers since I have both of those strains anyway. Learning from the revegging was interesting how the growth happens. I guess what I am getting at is even cuts can take a long time to get back to completely normal growth its definitely a mission.

the tops are back to their 5 finger leaves. ill let them grow out another 1-2 weeks, then take cuttings and clone them out. and yeah, they grow all kind of messed up. like they have radiation mutation issues. lol im still on 18/6 with the t8's.
