Vegging in Hydroponics

Got 13 gallon buckets my big girls are gonna be in, but I can’t quite figure out the best way to transition to those.. buying more Undercurrent Systems doesn’t seem quite logical or economical, so anyone who vegs and switches during hydro grows, what do you use initially?

I use a single cooler for veg and 4 x 27g totes for flower, i drilled out holes for net cups in both, once they vegged enough, i just take them from the cooler and toss them right into the bigger totes. One cup at a time.

Worked well for me.

Gonna be a lot of drilling for 56 sites.. The only problem is that the current culture system has their own weird tops..

Not sure what your exact goal is here.
My plants go through 3 different systems in their life. They spend the first few weeks crowded in the cloner until they have nice roots. Then they get their roots fed through the bottom of a netpot and placed in the veg system. When they outgrow the veg system, I pick up the whole netpot out of the bucket and drop it into the holes in my tote lids for my flower system.
Once they go into a netpot, they are quite difficult to put into a different pot.

My goal is to have 1 other place to put them between clone and flowering. So that I can have a rotation that has 5 weeks of vegging time, before joining the flowering room.

Yeah make a separate veg system that uses the same sized pots so you can just move them. Your other option is cutting netpots apart every grow.
Rdwc is not economical or logical to start.
You gotta pay to play.
