Vegging plants 14-15 hours of darkness?

My plants are gorgeous Mendocino Purp clones in week 4 (as of yesterday) of veg. They are fairly large, grown with advanced nutrients and some house and garden. They have also been pre-flowered at every node for about 2 and a half weeks, looking very ready to produce nugs. Usually, the lights are on from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on an 18 hour schedule. Unfortunately, today the power was cut the the house around 3 p.m. The power will be back on in time for the light to turn back on at 5 a.m., but by this time they will have received 13-15 (approx) hours of darkness. My question is: If I keep them on their usual 18 hour schedule, will that dark period induce flowering and trip them out? I intended to change the lights to 12/12 on this coming monday, should I stick to that day and keep them on 18 hours as it was? Thank You for any input as I am very concerned for my babies and the strict schedule I keep them on!

Yea keep it the same schedule the power outage should have little to no effect on the plants hopefully. Good luck to you!

also if it pertains to anything I am using a thousand watt Lumatek ballast with a thousand watt Ushio MH bulb on the 600 watt setting

No problem. It probably wasn't beneficial for the plants in any way, but with a steady light schedule a large dark period should be OK. Have you thought about investing in a generator or simple plug in battery back-up? The generator could keep your lights on for as long as you can feed it with fuel, although pretty loud. The battery backup is quiet but, even the best of them can't keep a 1Kw light going for that long. It's long enough to get a "supplementary" light source going though.

That extra darknes may have stressed them a bit id put that 12/12 off for another week jus to be safe.

If you plants are strong as you say they are, shouldn't be a problem.
