vegging under hps

Is there any issues that I might run in to when vegging under hps? I have to veg in a flower room for a bit and don't know what to expect. I did it once a long time ago and the only thing I remember really is that plants were more lanky I believe. Other than that I can't remember if there was any issues. Any tips or insight on what to expect is greatly appreciated.

Back in the day, way back, I vegged under an HPS bulb, didn't have any problems. Back then you either had an MH ballast or HPS ballast, and money was tight so just ran 1 1000 watt HPS for all my grows, didn't really notice much of a difference between the clones I was running and the same clones under my buddies MH. The difference really only showed when flowering between the 2, I had better looking buds and yielded a bit more than my friend did.
 
Thanks everyone. So far so good and honestly the plants look really good. I'm actually seeing better growth then my veg lights. I use 315 lec's but the good growth I might be seeing could be from more watts I'm running with hps instead the lec's

you need lights alot higher dew to heat, i have mine set threw ajustable balast ,and set at 400 watt, when flowering will boost to 800, 1000 watt
 
They look yellowed than they are when the HPS lights are on. Peak in before they come on or just after the lights are off to get a more true look at them.
