Venom OG 1st run, thoughts on ripeness?

So as this is my first successful grow since I was about 15 years old and even then all I did was Chuck a seed in the ground and wait, I absolutely no and expect this to be a learning process and for my first cycle I'm relatively pleased growing under 8*23 watt CFLs 1600 lumens each 6 are 6000 Kelvin to are 2700 k veg date(I started count when second nodes true leaves were 2")5/17/7,
Continued vegging until June 19th left the lights on for 24 hours straight and then 12 hours off first two weeks they were under 6 2700 K CFLs with two6000k bulbs. July 3rd, switched to 150w HPS, WITH 2 2700k cfls+2 6000k cfls,(1 of each on both ends of the high pressure sodium) 90% of my pistols are orange and receiving back into the calyxes they are sickened up and danced over the past two weeks mainly the last week got a 2x magnifying glass to look at the Trico meds today with a strong indica don't I want to shoot for 8290 percent cloudy and almost little to no amber?? More experienced opinions welcomed! Thoughts on when to harvest?

You generally want some amber. As long as there are little to no clear trics left, then you know THC is around its max. Looks like it needs more time

Some may disagree but I would give at least a week and a half. Personally I'd let it go two full weeks for maximum smell and potency. The hype about cutting with clear trichs is just that-hype. As stated above by more distinguished members than me, it's probably a good idea to let it go, but it would be a very suitable smoke if you had to cut it any time before then.

Right right, so.. Recent articles I've been reading (but... Well it's the internet, so trusted info is hard to come by lol) and"apparently" recent studies show some indica's each peak, thc production right before Amber coloration starts setting in. Which is the degrading THC, turning to CBN, then CBD.. and some sativa's for height thc level.. About 30%Amber/70%cloudy/milky
But like I said... Haven't done this in like 13 yrs... And trying to ensure its Worth my time. From your experience...(with INDICA Dom's, if you've been down her road ) what's been your best harvest frame?

Update... Just to make it a somewhat complete thread. With resolution.. Grabbed a kind scope 60x and glad I did.. almost ALL were cloudy Friday night.. 3-10%we're Amber.. So I shut lights off for 18hrs. Then scoped one last time... Pleased, maybe top center went slightly too long but here's pics...1st is from Friday night. Second is right before chop.
Yeilding.. But disappointing.. But got 1st grow in years... Smells dank as fuck... Looks dank as fuck.. And tricomes we're pretty MUCH EXACTLY where I was shooting for! So.. Built lil drying rack deal, running in my grow box with scrubber running and two small fans a 4in desk fan that works as my intake for the grow box. The 6in clip on was aimed right below my light so I'm running that on lo.. Box they're in to dry is cracked, one bowl with water in it to add some humidity to the grow box environment so the lower temps will still be acceptable to a slow dry. Plus a diffuser that just runs water (makes fog type puffs) ...wet weight 42.35(I'm guessing minus 5-10g in stem weight, maybe more... So about a qtr.. Maybe more but get great learning experience and quality smoke (we shall see)

You have done well I'd say, when to pick is always down to personal preference, you will work out when you prefer to pick with practice,
