im going for a scrog closet type grow
its a 3x2 foot secret room/compartment im building and it completely closed in for no light leakage
so im going for a dryer hose through the ceiling to the attic and im wondering how big of a fan and wondering if anyone has done anything like this to get maximum use out of this light
i know the cooler you have it in the room the closer you can have the light to the plant and it helps with scrog
thanks for the help and advice

You deffinately going to need some venting if you do a closed box grow with a 250 watt hps.

yes i know this but how big of a fan i have a 4in fan from wally world but i just dont think that will do it

my plant is to connect the front face of the fan to some dryer hose and run the hose to the attic
to suck all the hot air out im just wondering in a 2x3ft closet how big of a fan will i need running a 250 watt hps for flower?
i want it pretty cool in there to beable to keep to light closer to the plants without burn

How tall is it.. 2x3x?
i would say about 6
its 8 at the tallest but it slants from 8 to 3
its a storage closet so im making part of it grow
one half for flower and one half for veg
and just enough for us to smoke

another question how would i obtain an 250 watt hps light
is online safe because i found a cheap used one on ebay but idk if thats a bad thing

not to sure but i wouldnt think that they could use that info against you in court to get a warrant to search your house to say you were growing weed
besides a 250 watt light isnt enough for me to be a big seller why would they bother busting me?
anyways thats off track

I would recommend that you get a centrifugal inline fan, like a Vortex or something similar. A 4" will do for a small space like that. The inline fans that you can find at wally world, etc. aren't designed for long duct runs, ie. they have very little static pressure. It'll cost you more, but nobody said growing indoors was cheap!

yeah, you can get a fan which you fit into the duct work, and it looks nothing more then part of the run. but remember, forcing air up and out to a distance as high as your attic wil take some force, and a big fan.
