Your total volume is 100 cubic feet, and you will want to "replace" the air every 1-3 minutes. I would suggest a 100 CFM exhaust (pulling air out of your grow area) with the fan and its vent placed at the top of the tent to remove the warmer air from up top, and some small vents at the bottom to allow cooler air to be pulled into the tent. A small rotating fan inside should help cool things down a bit and help the air temperature even out inside the grow area. These fans can be picked up at lowes or home depot for under $100 dollars.

first question is how is your light vented,or do you have a cheapo batwing.you need to pull the heat off the light first. If your light isnt enclosed and not pulling heat off your dumping raw heat into your grow room.in the case of a batwing, a fan at the top would relieve some of the heat but your still gonna have issues.ideally a fan pulling heat off the light and one pushing cooler air into the room.As for being on a budget,Ive found i spent more money on cheap fix its than just saving for the right equipment.in the long run it is cheaper for the more expensive equipment.I bought a 440 cfm fan for 90 dollars.I have also bought a 10" inline fan (not sure of the cfm) for 40 dollars.both work great. The little fans ive bought from lowes or home depot or wally world are all burnt up

Oh Yeah... Got another cheaper idea.... if you know anybody with an old broke down dryer, you could take the exhaust fan out of there....
hmmm. but it would be a 220v. that could make things hard... or really easy depending on your setup.

Buy an extractor fan. You can get one like in the picture above for cheap ($15-30) You have to buy the plug and wire separately. (Think hardware stores)

Dont wory about an intake if theres anywhere in your tent that will let in air cracks etc then that would be sufficient. If not use your head maye undo the zip a little bit or open the door slightly.

Use your head... That made me chuckle. My father always told me growing up, "Use your head boy and figure it out." <--- the best advise I have ever gotten

Exhausting air is what you want to do. A good exhaust fan with sufficient passive intake (holes) will suck the same amount of air in as it blows out and at the same rate for the most part. Very few people use fans for intake you will see when looking at how people set up their ventilation. Also when you use a fan to push air into a box or tent or cab whatever you are using then you are powering the air in and it can/will leak stinky air out gaps and cracks.

I couldn't find anything like this at Home Depot or Lowes, they were clueless. I just wanted a 4" cabinet fan that I could mount on my grow box, seemed simple enough to me. I finally found a good place oneline, and this is the most inexpensive option ($16.95) I've found with a CFM in the range that was suggested for you by another member (87-107CFM). It comes with the AC plug which is rare, and shipping is cheap (like 2.99 I think). You might want to consider purchasing one of the matching screens to protect you or someone else from cutting up your fingers if you accidentally touch the fan. Not sure if this one's fast enough to hurt you, but I've sure as hell cut up my fingers before on other 4" fans turning at very high RPMs that weren't covered.

I bought a fan just like this one last week from this same store, but with a lower CFM since I have a MUCH smaller growing space. Nice thing is all you have to do is turn it around one way or the other if you want to use it as an exhaust or intake, it's entirely up to you. Personally I needed an intake since the top of my grow box is completely open which allows the hot air to flow out, just not fast enough for the heat that's being generated in there.

Its rated 160 CFM If Homegrowns math is right that should work... I would find some kind of filter media to put on on the intake.
Let me know if it works for ya....
Thats cheaper than getting a inline fan and scrubber. gonna have a lot of smell to deal with? if so, then you'll have to got that route.
lol - Really wanna pull some air --- Check this Ventilator out for cheap! ;)
