When using fans with a carbon scrubber does it matter if the fans are pushing or pulling air through the filter? Is one method more effective than the other?

Mine pulls through, and then pushes through my vented hood. I do not think that it is good to have hot air go through my fan. It is just how I do it, but honestly it will work either way. Also I checked the temperature of the air coming out the other end, and it is barely warm so my theory has holes in it I believe.

don't think/feel it really matters. But in a pull, it will keep the fan blades cleaner. When fan blades get all gunked up, they become unbalanced, and can make more noise because of it.
