venting a tent(5x5) out of a sealed room(12x12)

I have a 5x5 tent in an about 12x12 area. There's one single pane sliding window that faces close to several neighbors windows, the neighbors windows are actually sealed up but I still want to be respectful and keep the blasting hot air to a minimum. From what I've found searching a bit my options are to 1. Build a box out of wood or foam and mount it the window frame and duct into this. 2. Cut a hole in the sheet rock in the closet of the room, vent up into the crawl space.

I'm not afraid to put a little work forward, want to go with what's most effective. Have read about significant noise from the air moving through the homemade window box.

Any thoughts or experiences? Anyone who uses the window box method? Any suggestions before I try to knock a hole out of my ceiling?

I'm smoking on some purple erkle right now, stoney.

I just vent my grow area out to the spare Bed room its in, I keep some ventilations canals over my windows open most of the time and in the summer months I keep the windows open often, works fine for me, depend on how much Watt you run in there and how hot it gets and if you have a AC unit aso aso I run LEDs in the northern Europa, so heat is`t really a problem for me, all I need to do is make sure my plant have some good air circulation and the air is replaced

Word. If i had an LED board I wouldn't have to worry so much about heat issues. I have a dimmable 1k and 140 watts of UVB in there, In lieu of an AC at this time I'm just using a lot of ventilation. I think in-taking the hot exhaust air with only a window cracked would heat up my tent too fast, not quite northern Europe cold. Thanks for the reply

Here is what I do and it works great....

Put a window fan in the window and fix the exhaust duct to blow into the fan out the window. To keep light from showing to the outside, hang a shroud or other piece of fabric behind the duct/window fan.
This way the window fan catches the exhaust and sends it directly outside and the fan obstructs any signs of ducting and the shroud hides any signs of indoor lighting.
Having a window fan also keeps fresh air flowing and your bedroom will never heat up. And your neighbors will just see a fan in the window, pretty normal looking unless you live in a cold area.
