I wouldnt get one from walmart. i have gotten quite a few plants from there and they always die or turn out not exactly how i wanted. However I have gotten alot of plants from local nurseries and heck even lowes and they survived for years... I do miss all my plants. I left all of them with my parents since i didnt want to cause them stress while moving.

to those who are asking aobut the nutes needed for these. the thrive in crap soil, thats why they prey on bugs, they have adapted to these conditions by becoming carnivorous!

nice man I ordered seeds a little while ago too. I planted 3 seeds in 3 little pots and they haven't sprouted yet but apparently it can take a pretty long time and after that they grow not too fast either. still it'll be cool to have around, can't wait til they get big and start fuckin up those annoying flies in my room (even though i'm pretty sure they attract more flies). ive heard they can be fed pieces of cut up hot dog lol... but i dont know how true that is


edit: ok confirmed that that is not true, most sources say anything other than insects will kill ur venus fly trap, so don't do it lol. sounded a little iffy to me from the start
