Bit confusing fee like i just wanted to see a side by side ( controlled) then just got bombarded by a bazillion fixtures and grows and nothing made sense and pics felt like they where 100mb each. Thats just my opinion for someone just coming into this and looking it was just too much too full and felt like it needed to be broke down into seperate threads for each different thing that was interferring with the main title of the thread.

Sorry if been asked before but how many watts/square foot are you running?
Varies a bit
Timber Vero240 is running over 5 square ft now so that's around 48watts per sqft and Timber CXB200 is running over 5 square also and using 40 watt per square ft for flower now
I like 40 to 50 per sqft

More blue may be keeping them a bit shorter? My mints get very squat under the white side of my rw75. The mint leaves also make surprising amounts of oil at higher k value LEDs.

The best 120 watts I ever spent was a 3500k optic vero 18 based light used with lenses. Looks like army surplus but makes me happy.

W90 has no lense but a recessed reflector. Had my doubts. I have since outgrown those doubts. Very useful product.

The dreams are all different pheno types ,but I do believe the heavy blue in 4k keeps em from stretchin out a bit. CXB3590 3000K and Vero29 3000K are my favorite for flower
My RW150s kept them low too with the heavy blue from whites
The 3500K Vero18s I use are very good also. They just don't cover the area I would like. Always a smaller plant under those, but they flower great though.
I like the high wattage CXB3590s/Vero29s with a dimmer

I love my Vero 240 4000K, but I can't deny seeing the superior flowering power of the 3000K's. Nice job, Jimmy!

*edit I will try to get a picture of my grow later today!

I think the phenos under the 4k are just shorter to begin with. They do like the heavy red tho I cant deny that

The quality light sources that have emerged since about 2012 is incredible. Go back on this forum to the days of magnum, black dogs and stars, cow etc. Cobs and xte's and other good whites provide spectrums which are more complete than other light sources.

I no longer add more calcium or K like when I lived under the blurple sky. That color just irritated the hell out of me after a year or so. Almost depressing.

I ran one hps or cmh in the winter to keep the soil warm which is a must and is needed for any kind of mass. Ducted some heat in this year and put the HID's in storage.
