Vertical CFL Grow

I found these great grow cfls on the net for cheap.

125w 6500k CFL

I'm thinking of using either the 125w or 200w cfl in a vertical grow, sog method and they can get extremely close to the light and heat wont be a problem. I basically want to set it up like heath robinson's vertical grow except in a 2'x2'x2' space.

hey dude
I've also been running over the same vertical cfl idea in my head recently, only difference is Ive got 2 x 6500k 250w cfl's without reflectors.

I'm not sure if this will waste light unless the lamps r underneath the main canopy, given that the lamps cant actually touch the plants (even though they can b very close). If I want 2 run the cfls above the canopy, I can only find >740mm bowl style reflectors which r probably meant for 400w HID or larger. For me, this may not work because I plan 2 also run a 600w HPS horizontally, n these reflectors would probably shade the canopy in places, & therefore b wasteful.

For u, these bowl reflectors may b perfect, or u may not need a reflector @ all if ur doing a crazed wrap around style vertical garden (I've seen some nuts ones on youtube recently with reflectorless cooltubes).

I still think if ur gonna have ur lights above the canopy (& u probably r with a sog grow) it's probably more efficient 2 just buy a horizontal style reflector. Oh, n switch to 2700k/3000k lamps for flowering n u should b sweet.

Old thread I know, but I'm having the same problems, hopefully sum1 with more experience might pick this up with some good advice.
