vertical grow

im trying a small vertical grow for the first time 6 plants round a 400w light iv put netting up 8" from light all the way round to tie the branchs if needed to stop them going to close to bulb. iv read contredicting reports as what to do with plants some people say turn the pots 180degrees weekly to get light to all parts of plant but some say not to do this because the plant wastes energy bending back the other way to grow towards light. some say leave the pots as they are letting the plant bend towards light and tie them to the netting if they are getting to close. im worried if i use that method i would have problems with the stork being on the side of the bud instead of the middle. i had that problem once in a normal grow room when i had to train the plants to grow side ways because of height restrictions. and from a commercial point of view the storks dont need removing if they run through centre of bud instead of down the side.. i thought what about turning pots 90 degrees daily? can anyone help

Im just letting my plants grow as they please in veg. I will be adding some caging around the plants to make sure they dont get all crazy and burn themselves.

i thought what about turning plants 180 degrees half way though day to simulate the sun. can anyone give me abit if scientific views on the hole subject please

I seen a bit of mixed views with that. I wondered the samething as well. Now the sun him way stronger than any of the lights we have. So theplants get crazy penetration. Now with that being said some say the plants will spend a lot of energy leaning or always trying to adjust to the light. Now I dont know if these things are true or not but you can always hit google m8. Others say its just too damn much work and gets old fast. Have you researched about a vertical Scrog (vertical screen of green) ?

i use 4 pieces of tape on the pot and put it in quarter sections then turn a 1/4 a day. works very well

I turn my plants once a day, it doesn't seem to hurt them. Although I must admit I think it would be difficult with a netting/scrog type setup. Probably not worth the effort in that environment.

PS: Ive been looking at vertical setups myself. Although I'm uncertain if it's something I'll pursue as I sometimes need to dismantle my grow. But vertical setups look awesome if you can pull them off, wall to wall plants/buds, it has to be one of the best for effective lighting usage.
