Vertical Grow

Hello all this will be my first grow on roll it up and with it I will be building a new setup.

I had a few questions of lighting.
It will be a 4by4 6ft high box.
Would it be better to use 1 600 or 1 400 and a 250 combo.
How many shelves can i use with each and how far apart should the shelves be. and how many would u suggest on each level of shelf.

strains I have chosen and already ordered.
1) THC BOMB

Indica
THC Bomb with a male Ice
flowering time= 8-10 Weeks



2) AMSTERDAM HAZE

Sativa
flowering time= 9 -10 Weeks



3) Amnesia Haze

Sativa dominan
flowering time= 60-80 days



4) Green spirit

Indica/Sativa
Big Bud and Skunk #1
flowering time= 7 Weeks


5) NYC DIESAL

Indica/Sativa mix
Flowering Time= 9-10 Weeks

it will be a sog style vert grow btw

BUMP really would like to know if anyone had any insight on this. I can do 3 250s or 1 600 or 1 400 and 1 250 together just wondering what would be the best for this
And if anyone has any reviews on these strains for sog let me know. They are from marijuanna-seeds.nl

I'd say 2x 400w stacked vertical. I've done 6 inches stem-to-stem in a vsog with good success, though I've found most people tend to use 8 inches or so. Roughly 9 inches vertically from base of stem to base of stem should be enough, at least it was for me. Crowding will occur in corners if it's in a square shape. I don't have any experience with those strains but in a perpetual sog style grow earlier finishers are preferential, and they should finish at about the same times otherwise things will get complicated.

EDIT: You'll need more than 9 inches vertically if the plants are blocked by shelving above them.

ty so much looks like il do 2 400s.

they are different flowering times but i plan on doing one strain per a shelf that way i can keep an eye on them alittle easier and am able to harvest when each are at their ultimate level. Thankyou again for all the input

Quick update managed to pick up 2 400 watt dig sol ballasts and 2 6 inch cool tube a 6 inch can fan with 410 cfm rating and a cm50 carbon filter along with biotonic care nutrients. just waiting on beans

ok the seeds have sprouted. i have 3 nyd 5 thc 5 gs 2 ah and 4 amh .... 2/5 ah started and 4/5 amh started..... but the gs thc and nyd sprouted 100 percent...
Upload pics and move to another thread once room is complete... still working on wiring and hanging... and setting ducts up.
