vertical lights, my book says this cooler all around.:)

I just got this book on growing marijuana. It has several gardens set up. It recomends that during veg a hood be used.

During flower it recomends that the hood be removed and the bulb hung vertically. Not just using stadium and v and colliseum grows that it shows how to build. All the time even on flat gardens and the plants arranged between them.

I am of course gung ho. I recently found a vertical hood, like a cool tube but made onlyh vertical.


Any body have and vertical bulbs and flat level plants. I grow on an ebb table and dont feel like changing that yet.

also the heat hear sucks so I like the idea of no reflector to cool. I will use a vertical tube to air cool.

yeah im puting together a vert grow box with 2 400s home made cooltubes...but it's kind of a waste of light if u have a flat graden...because a bulb sideways gives off more light....

I just found a hydrofarm downlighter. It is like a cool tube but meant to just hang as is. I might buy it. Vertical light fixture. I cant find one in a shop. Only on craigslist.

i've mulled vertical vs. flat every which way... and i just can't see myself growing with a bulb horizontal during veg... then removing a reflector and using the bulb vertically during flower.

i'd say either go full vert... or full flat. (though i'm sure it wouldn't hurt to do a flat veg. before moving plants into a vert flower...)
